How is it coming along?

Hello WA!

I have been with WA for a couple weeks now and I was terrified to make the leap to get started as I am an analyst by nature I like to know “what is going to happen”. I am however very adaptable to situations, but this was a big unknown as I have always worked corporate jobs and had a specific title and job requirements. Due to a reorganization of the BIS team I was on in for two years, I lost my job in May. There was then a hiring freeze, so I was unable to find something else at the company. I was heartbroken because I loved my job and it was a great company.

Over the next few months I tried to reacclimate my brain to be a stay at home mom. I have been working for big corporations for 20 years, and the last decade, a mom as well. So, I felt like I was missing something and that I was not pulling my weight in my marriage. After dealing with me moping around, my husband sat me down and said “my beautiful wife, you are amazing, and you are pulling more than your weight just by running the house! We got this, and you don’t need to work!” My brain jolted back into reality and I thought, yes there is a reason this happened.

I have come to love being at home with my kid’s full time but also would really like something that makes my brain work at a professional level at the same time. So, after all that big heavy life story, the point I am trying to make is that since I joined WA two weeks ago, my brain has been challenged in awesome ways. I feel like I am at work again and I LOVE learning new tools and platforms.

I love cooking and baking, from scratch and with my family. So, my niche is cooking and baking trying to get other busy families back to spending a little time each week and working with their families to try to bring home cooked delicious meals back into the home. For years I have been working with my kids to teach them how to cook and bake, they love it. Now they are getting old enough to learn about safety with raw meat and knifes. I have many recipes that I have created, and I will post them on my site little by little. They are easy, and you can make them in double batches if you want to freeze half. So far, I have had amazing comments on my site that made me feel like I really might be able to touch some folks.

I am impressed with the training and the community reach out. The training is literally step by step and it is very good. So, thank you for that as I know that creating that much detailed training can be a very arduous task.

My goal is to get a beautiful, sleek and functional website going within the next couple weeks and within a month to two start earning! Just taking it one step at a time.
