The road home
Greetings!
It's been at least a couple weeks since I joined the ranks here at WA so I guess it's about time I start blogging.
First of all, I want to express how grateful I am to have stumbled upon this amazing resource and community!
I'm brand new to any kind of online marketing affiliate or otherwise, but I'm already noticing a common theme amongst the professionals in this industry. It seems to me that a lot of folks are drawn to this opportunity out of a desire for greater "freedom", satisfaction and a more desirable work/life balance.
Sign me up!
For years now I feel I've been barely treading water at dead end job after dead end job.
But no more!
I've mostly worked in restaurants as a manager/line cook and have some cultivation experience as well. This translates to long, hard hours often in less than desirable environmental conditions, high stress, low wages etc.
For quite some time now I've searched for better alternatives, trying to come up with ideas that would enable me to be my own boss and spend more time doing the things that are important to me. I toyed with the idea of restaurant ownership for years but something always stopped me from taking the plunge.
I wanted BETTER work/life balance after all!
Honestly, I've always thought trading my invaluable time and skills for hourly wages was a fool's errand. But like most folks it was deeply ingrained in me during my upbringing that that was simply the path you take and it's up to you to figure out how to make the most of it.
I'm not tech savvy at all, in fact this is first time I've written a blog post anywhere! I've never been too enthralled by social media either so the thought of working online always seemed intimidating. "How could I compete?" I thought, "what would I even do?". It really wasn't even on my radar.
Well, I'm glad I finally stepped out of my own way and shed the fear of unknown possibilities because I know I'm finally travelling down the right road.
I inadvertently came across WA while looking into the reputation of another program I'm also involved in. I was beginning to wonder if I had fallen into a scam, lol!
Don't worry, I didn't!
But within WA I did find the missing pieces of the puzzle that I was looking for. I enjoy variety and also a good challenge so I'm comfortable navigating both programs at once as they both have different benefits to offer and information to share.
It feels good to be learning so much!
I will say however, that the atmosphere here is like a breath of fresh air. When I come onto this platform from the other, it feels like leaving the noise and excitement of the school gymnasium and hunkering down in the solace of the library.
I jumped into this purely following instinct and without a clear direction in mind so I was blown away by all this platform had to offer. Creating my own unique content is not something I was necessarily seeking to do and I'm stoked about the limitless potential this opportunity presents.
I'm about halfway through the second phase of Affiliate Bootcamp now, and feeling good about my progress so far.
I intend to roll the promotion of WA into an idea I was already considering which focuses on enabling people to experience more freedom in their lives. Specifically, I hope to expose WA to folks who feel trapped within miserable careers or similar situations, and are seeking options that will allow them to live on their own terms.
Seeing as how I'm personally using WA to create more freedom in my own life I feel like it should fit quite well within that concept.
It feels amazing to be able to tap into such a wide reaching resource and actually be able to potentially help people improve their lives. Making money with relative ease is nice too don't get me wrong, but it is not nearly as fulfilling as making a personal connection and benefitting another human simply by sharing what I know!
What a blessing to be alive at a time when I can do all that with only a weathered Android phone! One of the first investments I plan to make once the money starts flowing in is to buy a decent laptop and a new phone, lol!
Until then, I am grateful for what I have and I know more is coming.
