What is the significance of Google.com in Site Manager?
It bears no similarity to Google search results that we all use.
Thank you
EJ
Hello Jay. In my Site Manager area, there's a link Google dot com.
I decided to click on it and was somewhat amazed at the display.
If not every, nearly everyone of my pages and posts were 'seemingly ranked', not as a website only, but by each post/page individually. That included even my contact details was 'ranked' as a page by itself. With each post ranked alone, it filled up Google dot com page 1 and some were on page 2. I know something was not quite 'right' with that display. It seems not everybody has this this link in their site manager area!
I just wanted to know what that was all about.
Honest! I am not making this up! ;-)
EJ
Oh I see it now thanks to your explanation to Triblu. Yes everyone should have this and the only purpose of this is for you to manually verify that your site is indeed indexed in Google.
The reason you're seeing what you're seeing is because the search is for the domain name so anything with your domain name gets pulled up.
In any case, it's not that important and you can just ignore it.
There should be a notification whether your site has been indexed or not.
As for Google dot com, I don't have it in mine.
Hello Robert, thanks for your response.
I did get the notification on WA site.
But some weeks ago I clicked on the above link in my manager area and got a Google Page with an amazing arrangement of my post and pages, including my contact details! I mean individually. I am still trying to make sense of it, hence the above question.
In Google search it's a completely different and straightforward setup.
Regards,
EJ

Hey EJ,
Do you mean Google Index? I've checked my Site Manager and Google.com does not appear, so I'm a little confused with your question.
I asked the same question Trish.
Still no reply.
Enjoy your Monday and the week ahead.
Robert
Hello Trish, thanks for your response. I will be very specific. Go into by clicking:
1) Site Manager
2) Click View Details (top right of Site Health by colour/color bar)
3) Bottom left - Google Ranked
Right there you will find a link for Google dot com. That was what I clicked on. It brought up what I have described x 2 below.
Robert says he does not have Google dot com in his. It may be a new feature, I do not know. It's on mine and it displays 'strange arrangement' of all web contents.
EJ
Hi EJ. Ok got you now.
The confusion was because you said it was on Site manager and it isn't.
You have to click through to it so its on a separate page and you never said that, did you?
Its a common failing with members that most of the time they don't give specific information when asking or even replying to a question or comment.
Moving on -
That function has always been there.
It shows you what site(s) and the pages/posts that have been indexed and ranked.
Enjoy what's left of your Monday and the rest of the week.
Robert
Thank you Robert.. Do forgive me for calling page 2 page 1!
It looked all the same to me!
I had you all wondering what has she got on her site manager that we don't :-)
Forgive us ALL!
Thanks again!
EJ
That's okay EJ, I'm just glad Robert was available to help you out. LOL! I'm STILL confused as to what you were talking about ... but at least you got the help you needed.
It does get rather frustrating when trying to help those new to the internet and/or website designing as many newbies (which we ALL were once upon a time) are not specific enough for help to be handed to you right from the start.
Thank YOU Robert for helping {{{HUGS!}}}
Hello Trish, you and Robert have me laughing ;-)
It was my specifics to you, (in the end), that turned the light on for Jay and then Robert. It was something they both knew of, but my focus to you all was on page 1, and the issue was actually on page 2 as Robert so candidly pointed out. ;-).
My apology to you Trish. They sussed it for me. No worries.
Thanks to ALL 3 of you!
EJ
Hello Again EJ
No probs about the pages.
It takes a wee while to find your way around the WA Platform and all the stuff that's actually hidden from view and you have to find out how to get to it.
But it is a failing with the membership when they ask for help that they really don't phrase their question in such a way that people will actually understand what it is the mean or want.
No matter now and now you will know where to go to see if your site/pages/post have been indexed/ranked.
Enjoy your day.
Robert
No probs Trish and thank you for stopping by and trying to help.
Getting involved here is a big part of the success of the community.
Big hugs to you as well.

What does the PPC stands for on the WA keyword tool?
Thank you!
EJ
Thanks this was very helpful. Was going to ask the question so i searched first. This place rocks. Newbie but getting it slowly very slowly lol but its sinking in.
I like to add that also there is PPCall (pay per call) same thing but instead of getting customers to click on an ad you try to get them make a phone call to the business you are promoting through your campaign.
Just for your future reference. I hope I added a useful info for you.
Cheers
Khalid
You certainly have Al , thank you. This is brand new to me, (as are many things here at WA!).
One of the good things about these public questions, others can learn from the answers too! You go to answer one thing and you end up learning something else too.
Any time I answer this question in the future, I'm going to appear knowledgeable ;-)!
What a community spirit!
Regards,
EJ
Very glad to hear that.
and you are absolutely right, 40% of the new things I learn through others questions and asking questions, the other 60% is from our awesome community posts and training.
Also, it's a great feeling when I receive a message like yours, letting me know that I helped :) Thank you. So now you owe me something new to learn from you :):)
I wish you only the best to come your way.
Cheers
Al Or Khalid is ok
Thank you Al.
As for you learning 'something new' from me - that's a tricky one at this time.
However, if you have the time, have a read of this and I do hope you will get something from it. If nothing else, you will see a little of what I am up to here at WA! No need to make a comment on it, that's not the intended purpose.

PS - Al - Is this a breech of any WA rule?
Hi Ej,
PPC stands for Pay Per Click meaning advertisers pay when their ads are clicked, it is an Internet business model for advertising.
More detailed info can be found here: http://www.wordstream.com/pay-per-click-advertising
Hope it helps.
Thanks Nerses, it does help. Someone asked among the new comers, and as I had no idea I decided to find out so I could tell others in the future.
EJ.

I go into my website manager area, press the Log in button twice.
Instead of being ushered to my Word Press Editor, I AM EJECTED!
Any solutions known for this issue
YES!!!! The one I am having problems with isn't hosted at WA. In my case, I know what the problem is. The stupid hosting company has locked me out and a ton of others also so their support crews are swamped and cannot be reached. Luckily I know how to access through FTP and understand to rename the conflicts, provided I can find them all.
The website tells me the Security Sockets Layer is malfunctioning. ROFL this is why I need to get in, it doesn't have one and I need to install it on it so it does.
They have the site coded for https:// and many many others before the time and now I can't get in to install and set it.
Hello Chris, When these things work they are good, but when they do not, ...oh boy!
It sounds like it's a waiting game for you, until you can get in. Good thing you have the knowledge to know what to do once in.
Hoping you can resolve yours once you can get in Chris.
EJ
Hi there!
I guess your answer is in a post I have made Login Problems? Can't Login into your WordPress Admin Panel? Check it out and let me know if everything is back to normal
Good Luck
~ Gus
Hello Gus, I have implemented your post directions and it does work for me. However, things are not yet back to normal , or as it was before the issue manifested.
Site support have also suggested some ares that maybe the cause. When I can, I will look at them and implement them too.
The important thing, I can get in thanks to you Gus.
EJ
Thank you very much for your feedback EJ! I am very glad that I helped you!
Thanks again and wish you all the best!

Checking with Support is the best thing to do in this case! Let them take a look at it!
