What?! You Have To Pay Money To Work For Free?
Yup, that is pretty much the reaction I got when people found out what I am doing.
Let's face it! Affiliate marketing is a long term game. In order to succeed you will have to work months after months without anything in return. And you will still have to pay for hosting, keyword research tool, autoresponder and any other kind of tools or services that you have engaged.
But isn't it how any other businesses work?
My hubby quit his comfortable job and started up his own business. He spent first 2 years working day and night without any pay. It is not until the third or fourth year that the business started picking up. Should he have given up earlier he wouldn't have find out the potential of his company!
In fact, this determination is often a self-fulfilling prophecy, as we push our goals through with sheer willpower where others might give up and move on, we achieve spectacular results in the process.
I have had people asking me "Why do you want to waste your time working for free? Why don't you write for other people and get paid instantly?"
And that reminds me of the Stanford marshmallow experiment on delayed gratification - do you prefer a small reward now, or bigger reward later? How long are you willing to wait?

So decide for yourself what you want to achieve, and don't look back until you have succeeded.

Cold hard truth but It is the truth. Thank you for this Post. Some experience results faster than others but regardless we will all succeed if we persevere and stick with it even when there seems to be no reward upfront. However if we keep the other truth of knowing and believing that end result of the reward that is to come in view, it will surely show whether 3 months or a year but it will happen and it is reassuring once it does to fulfill the next journey. Only this time is has to and will be more rewarding than the last time.

What you say is very true, but it will be quite difficult to judge in real life. How are we to know that we are just inches away from success? Most of the time we do not.
Most of the time it is based on our faith, passion, and persistent.
We just do what is right and leave the rest to higher up.
