Wealthy Affiliate Ranking - Should I care about it still?
Well my premium days' series for blogging is over, from now on I'll record the months from here on out and I'll also blog when something is interesting like today.
My main focus now is my website and the content I provide for it. In the past few days I've been trying so hard to boost my ranking so I helped lots of people with questions and welcomed new people to WA but at the end of every day my rank would go up by only 20.
I recently started making my website as a primary focus just yesterday and I found it funny my rank went up by 1.
So I decided why should I invest something like that if it won't help me make money? After all, it's just another number here in WA. So from now on I've decided to focus on something that will actually help me be successful, which is my website:)

It's awesome that you have helped and there's no reason to stop but you probably came to WA to help yourself make money in the first place so my two cents here would be: concentrate on your website, build content and start to make money.
However, answering questions and blogs here on WA may not bring you monetary rewards but helping others get over hurdles sure does the soul good :)
Ranking is best looked at as a frame for a rocket launching platform. When your sites are launched it falls away and isn't needed anymore!
I agree. Focusing on WA ranking can be distracting and a waste of time in my opinion. It takes away from the real purpose here.
Though it can be useful and helps to fuel community involvement, it has to be used from a place of being genuinely polite and helpful.
Not solely to promote self... (rankings).
Yes, one shouldn't be too much bothered with the numbers here. The ranking, I mean. I know many people doing amazing work on their websites and here in WA in general but they are ranked way down below. The ranking is, they say, a reflection of our activity here. You know, I'm not even one month complete in my Premium membership and I'm already ranked 103 (as of today). But am I ecstatic? Well, no! I'm still very much a novice and just beginning to learn the ABCs of the whole business. There's so much more left to learn. Cheers! See you around.
No secret. I just did all lessons and tasks in certification. I'm not able to move forward in the progress bar on the left side (dashboard) where it's written "Progress: Course 3, Lesson 8" even though I have moved further because I skipped the tasks on adding Google AdSense on my site. Google has rejected my site :) But I'm moving on and while I wait for Google's approval, I have jumped onto Affiliate Bootcamp. I don't know how I climbed up the ranks. I just did the usual stuff - put up a few blog posts, put up some questions, interact with people here, and continue working on my website. Nothing beyond that.
