After a lot of hard work I can see my website heath improving significantly. There were 5 major lessons learned that helped me that I want to share with you.

  1. Write High Quality Content Regularly
  2. Get Feedback and Comments Often
  3. Manage Plugins
  4. Optimize for Google Ranking
  5. Earn Trust

Site Health Results

High Quality Content Regularly

By far this was my biggest weakness until recently. It wasn't very long ago that my publishing frequency showed 30% and the color was RED. I was only averaging one post per week. Not good. I was able to increase that to 2. In the past week I wrote 6. It raised the frequency to a respectable 70% and the color is now blue.

Since I have built momentum I will be keeping that up. My new plan is 3 posts per week minimum. This is a common rate encouraged in the OEC training. Hence, is it achievable

Feedback & Comments

My feedback and engagement percentage is 100% and in the green. I confess that this task was an easy one. I give a lot of comments and have accumulated sufficient credits to cover the cost of requesting comments and feedback.

I highly recommend others do this for every post published.

Manage Plugins

This can be challenging if you need many plugins. I have kept my active plugins to 5. I have more. But I only use them to check on things or need them occasionally. When unused, I keep them deactivated.

This is a process that I recommend to others. If you must use more than 5 be happy with a percentage less than 70% and the indicator colored yellow. Try not to get it to red.

Optimize for Google Ranking

USe Jaaxy and other tools including Google itself to aim for page 1 rank. Don't expect every post to get there. However, the more posts you publish, this is more attainable on a consistent basis.

I seem to please Bing more as I have far more page 1 rankings there than in Google. There is always room for improvement,

Earn Trust

There is no easy way to do this than to write a lot of articles and often. I currently have 76 posts and 6 pages. But one of these pages was written like a post as it is my static home page.

I will be completing 100 posts by early August. This is what will give me the biggest bang for the buck.

Most of my articles now are on MLM companies. However, one of my activities on Wealthy Affiliate is helping me enormously to write new posts at a higher rate.

Over a 15-week period that ended two weeks ago, I conducted a book study on Think and Grow Rich. There were 16 posts in total that included this introductory post in the link.

In short order I will be adding 16 posts on my website using the category Personal Improvement. This is necessary to be successful in implementing the WA training. Or for that matter training for any pursuit.

Although my site is focused on MMO, this will be a great addition to my categories. I noticed that Think and Grow Rich is a popular topic for blog posts. My articles are already being ranked on page 1. My Google stats are rising. Hence, I feel that my effort in writing these posts for my WA Blog will be paying dividends in my affiliate marketing website.

This will go a long way to earn trust resulting in increased traffic,

I wish you much success in your affiliate marketing journey.

Cheers.

Edwin

Hi Edwin.

At the.moment I don't even dare look at the site health of my websites. My break from WA saw my 'trust' plummet back to the red, as has my 'content'

My 'plugins' have always been in the red, even taking into consideration those that (like you) I deactivatrwhen not needed.

A good friend, who was considered a computer wiz kid, once told me that the amount of plugins you have doesn't really matter, as long as they don't slow down the site or clash with each other.

In any case, hopefully I'll build up the trust and other areas of my site health.

All the best. Jim

Hi Jim,

Jay agrees with your good friend about the plugins and I do too. My problem is I do not know which ones are the culprits and those that clash. Hence, for people like me, keeping the number of plugins to a minimum is the safest way. One day I will learn how to identify those plugins that hurt.

Sorry to hear about you falling behind. When I did, I stopped looking at my site health and focused on building up my website for a while. When i felt I had put in the work I decided to check.

I wish you a speedy website recovery!

Cheers.

I'm so glad you are gaining Google benefits from your Think and Grow Rich posts. That was a great project, and I for one appreciate your tackling it. I believe you helped a bunch of us.

I noticed you said your ranking on Bing gives you far better results. Same here. Bing likes me, but Google doesn't always. Go figure.

Good luck moving forward...

Thanks for your supportive comments Fran. Google will eventually catch up if Bing is giving credit. It's a matter of time.

All the best to you.

Edwin

Thank you Edwin, I don't even know yet what all this means but I know it will help as to what to look out for...?

Hi Maralese,

Thanks for your encouragement. Don't worry what all of this means. As you progress through your training all will be revealed at the right time.

My best advice is to go through the training regularly and do every exercise scheduled. If you get stuck, ask a question in the discussion area below the lesson and someone will help you.

Glad that you made the decision to join Wealthy Affiliate and learn from the best about affiliate marketing.

All the best to you.

Edwin
