A Valuable Learning Experience From Prince Partha!

Partha read it and provided me with a lengthy response that was a masterclass on how to use keywords effectively.

My Website Article

I wrote an article for my website to help young singers use affiliate marketing to boost their income. The keyword I used was, "Young Singers And Affiliate Marketing". And it ranked at #1 on Google for this keyword in under two days. I was ecstatic! Until I read Partha's response.

Can you see the flaw in this result? That is what Partha revealed to me. It seemed so obvious after. Can you figure out the flaw?

I am certain that the more experienced members will. According to Partha, this can be termed "Fake ranking!"

Summary Of Partha's Advice

Partha told me that very few or no young singers would find my article which would defeat my objective. The reason being that most would not know what affiliate marketing is. If they wanted to earn money online their main thought process would be around their singing career.

Here are the type of questions Partha wrote they would most likely ask:

How to make money as a singer?
Where Can I Find Singing Gigs That Will Pay Me?
What Can I Do to Earn Money on the Side of My Singing Gigs?
Is Busking Worth it?
Where Can I Get Paid to Sing?

None of these would lead to my article. I checked lol.

The chances are they wouldn't even think about building a business online, let alone an affiliate marketing business. The valuable advice Partha gave me fell into two parts.

Firstly, I needed to write an article that answered one or more questions like the ones above to get their attention. And then steer them towards the concept of affiliate marketing to not only boost their income but also their careers which was the focus of my website post.

Secondly, I asked Partha should I rewrite my article using a keyword like the above? He said don't do that. Instead, I should use my post as a landing page via Social Media forums targeted to singers and musicians. I could write a teaser post with a link to my website post.

I had already planned to promote my website article entitled, " Young Singers and Affiliate Marketing - How To Boost Income" on social media. This happens to fall in line to Partha's advice. So all is not lost.

Is There Any Reasonable Search Phrase That Will Lead To My Article?

Curiosity got the better of me. I tried to find a search phrase that some young singers may use that would find my post. I did find one that landed my post in the #10 slot on page 1 of Google. You can see it second from the bottom in the screenshot below.

The chances are still slim that a young singer would use such a term. Here is that search phrase:

My key takeaway from Partha's personal masterclass on helping struggling musicians is this:

First find out what their struggles are and how they are trying to overcome them. Write a post that points them to solutions they are looking for. And then ask if they would be interested in boosting their income as well as furthering their career in a different way. Assume they will answer yes and steer them towards affiliate marketing as a worthwhile solution.

When you get down to it, this is what Kyle and the other super affiliates teach us to do anyway. Partha happened to do it in a way that made it personal and meaningful to me. I am grateful that he took the time to point me in the right direction.
