And so it begins.
Hi everyone!
So, after a few weeks of joining WA and thinking about a lot of things, I FINALLY created my website! YAY!
Today, I completed the Getting Started lessons up to lesson 5 and still can't believe I'm actually doing this... must be from the excitement! I kind of feel like a child with a new toy, ha ha!
Since I'm making a website about all things Nintendo I decided to name it nintendokusou.
The name comes from joining the words nintendo and dokusou, the latter meaning "originality" or "creating something unique" in japanese.
I remembered that in Nintendo Kyoto's Conference Room there is a frame with the kanji for dokusou hanging on the wall that has served as inspiration for everyone at Nintendo since it's earlier days, like Mr. Iwata explained in the beginning of this Nintendo Direct, so I thought I would follow suit and honor that premise!
Right now, the site is still totally empty but I hope one day it will be full of love, information and "uniqueness".
As I build the website, I will try to blog about interesting or useful things I happen to find out or simply share my feelings and ideas about what I'm currently working on.
That said, I hope I can count on all of you at WA to give me some of that awesome feedback and suggestions as I move along!
To finish this blog entry I would like to leave you with four quotes, that I thought would be relevant to all of us at WA, from Earthbound a 1994 SNES classic:
"We won because of our brains, guts, and togetherness. Wow! What a rush!" -Guy in Threed
"Money, that's what I want.
Money, that's what is hot.
Money, that's what I want.
Money, it's what we ain't got,
'cept freedom, freedom, freedom is what we've really sought!
-Runaway Five band member
"If you stay here too long, you'll end up frying your brain. Yes, you will. No, you will...not. Yesno, you will won't." -Guy in Moonside
"Listen. Free your mind and KNOW what you must do!" -Ness, to himself
Now do me a favor and go live your life like Shigesato Itoi, "build your own playground" and "become someone with a lively wake"!
I wish you all a lucky day and a quiet night!
See you next time,
EduCard

Very deep Eduardo, now you've given me a lot to think about....altho' this will be a pleasant pastime.
You're very talented and will reach your destination super fast. You're blessed...
Shirley
Thank you for your kind words Shirley!
Yes, I consider myself a really blessed person. Thankfully, I have an awesome close family and a great intuition, and both rarely fail me!
I really don't know if I'm talented because that's one of my problems, I can barely tell what things I'm actually good at. And sometimes I end up thinking to much, hence the third quote I put up there!
Glad you liked my first blog post, it gave me an extra boost of confidence.
Good luck and keep up the good work!
Like I said...you're blessed. No harm in thinking too much you know. It's the thoughtless that do harm....
God bless,
Shirley

Great post! I'll be following your development on nintendokusou, my NES broke down last year and I'm aiming to get a Wii soon so I can play paper mario!
Thanks Knut! I'm probably gonna post again pretty soon, just finishing some other things first...
I like Paper Mario too, have played all games except for The Thousand Year Door which seems to be the best in the series... oh, the irony! XD
Nothing wrong in delaying pleasure!
I guess that is a good way of looking at it! hahaha!
