What's Your Story?
Howdy, Folks!
I'm been a software engineer for over 30 years. In spite of that, I'm not where I'd like to be financially. You see, I started saving late, and then there was a down-turn, and I got scammed really hard during that time.
That's a story for another time.
It occurs to me though that there are a lot of folks in the tech industry who are struggling. For example, a friend composed a piece of band music and emplored us to buy a copy to help them out. This guy is an excellent software engineer and coach, but the market is just crap.
I reached out to my friend and started talking to him about content marketing. He was appreciative. I even shared my WA and Jaaxy affiliate links - not because I wanted his commission, but because I know those are tools that have helped me in the past.
I started thinking this morning though: I have a story that can help my peers. I have a history of doing content marketing and being successful (ok, to a lesser degree than others, but I have Amazon Associate earnings reports to show I had commissions). And, I dare say, had I not gotten distracted by life, I would have been even more successful.
I think that's my story. At least, it's "A" story, and one I feel has value in sharing. After all, maybe I can bring hope to people who are displaced and struggling. How cool would that be? It could turn into referrals too, and that would be welcome, but to help those people not struggle would be such a reward.
So, based on that, my question to you is simple: What's your story?
I was watching some of Vitaly G's content where he shared parts of his story. At first, I thought my story couldn't compare. Vitaly is far more successful than I am. ... but does that really matter?
I think each of us has a story worth sharing. If we're willing to share our struggle, how WA has helped us, and the signs of success we have experienced, I think we can connect to lots of people who need hope.
Will you be brave enough to share your story? Can you reach out with empathy instead of greed? While it's not as explicit as that, that message is scattered across lots of the training here: Reach out with the intent to help and add value. You just need to consider how your story can do that.
Hopefully, this blog is helpful to you. I hope it gives you a fresh perspective that influences your strategy in a positive way.
Have a wonderful day, my friends!

This is good timing Eddie, I was working on a timeline grap of where we are at in the new age of AI, and I really think storytelling and the interest we have in one another as human beings is what is going to drive the next "age". We have come full circle.
Check out my chart below.
Interesting perspective!
I guess we'll have to wait for time to pass before we know for certain, but I could totally see that. The simpler it is to "make things" the more empowered storytellers are, since they are the ones who inspire us and give us the desire to press on.
