Huge Traffic Surge
What is going on?
Yesterday I had a total of 27 users on my site throughout the entire day.
Today I looked at some of my statistics to find that I had a staggering 570 before lunchtime!
I have been averaging at about 20-30 users per day this past couple of weeks.
Is this normal?
What did I do that enabled this huge surge in traffic?
Is it that Google has finally decided to index all of my pages?
Sadly I am only on the free trial of Jaxxy and am out of serches until February 4th.
Can anybody help me find the answer?
UPDATE: I decided to go back a little. It looks like this might be a one off that happens from time to time. Hopefully it will start being a frequent occurance.

What kind of traffic are you talking about? Organic, social, direct, referral? Hard to give an answer without knowing that.
Personally I have had such surges from direct traffic many times, but sadly it was only bots... Hundreds of simultaneous sessions coming from the same country/ip and lasting no more than a couple of seconds (if that).

This happened to me once with a teaching forum I had, someone was posting about the practicalities of teaching and living in Thailand and I had a surge of people on my forum posting comments for three days so I made more threads like that one but I wasn't making money those days it was for the sake of it.

Try to get your customers to comment and also get their emails etc via a subscription form for the future of other products and services and write content as well as you are.
