Website Sold: $40,000

Hey, just wanted to give everyone an update.

A month ago I was curious what my site was worth. If I put it up for sale I thought I would get around $25,000 but to my surprise it got evaluated at $40,000. Empire Flippers waived the $300 listing fee and the site sold very quickly.

$40,000 was just too much to pass up on at the moment so I took it.

This gives me breathing room and a good amount of money to invest in future websites. I already have my next major niche selected and I have 1 smaller, seasonal niche I'll be working on too.

I'm going to use the money I made from my last site to outsource lengthy FAQ section for each guide. I'm shooting for 4,000 to 5,000 FAQ sections, which will cost around $100 each.

This will bring the guides to between 8,000 and 10,000 words and for most keywords will be the most comprensive guides on the internet. I'm shooting for the first spot for each keyword now.

I'm also shooting for a 2:1 non affilaite/affilaite content ration. I'll be outsouring these articles.

If you were following me before you probably read I was having issues with some best of posts. Most of them (not all, though), eneded up getting in the page 1 to page 3 range.

I think Google is looking for websites that diversify keywords and don't just target one type. Or atleast are cracking down on new websites that only focus on "best ofs" and nothing else.

So definitely write your best of posts but mix in other content as well.
