10 Tips for New Affiliates

1. Tell a story with your article. (See my previous blog post as an example)

2. Make and use notes about what is important to you when you are looking to make a purchase yourself. What are your criteria? Use these in your articles-Aim to help!

3. Read your completed article out loud when you are editing it and getting ready to publish it. I got this valuable tip from fellow Wealthy Affiliate user boomergp08. Thank you!

4. Write articles in the same words and way as you'd speak in a conversation to a friend.

5. Write different types/styles of articles: Reviews, Top 10, How to's, Definition, Research Findings, This vs. That, etc.

6. You must have a goal for your article or project. Would you use a map without knowing your destination?

7. If you're head is spinning trying to find images here are some tips: Search for Public Domain clip art, images, or stock photos. Also look for Creative Commons licensed images with Commercial Use allowance. Use images on art or poster affiliate websites with your affiliate code. Also free royalty free images come in handy. 8. Don't "feel like it" today? Go back to the WHY behind your goals-really picture it and how it would feel if you complete your goal and what it brings to your life. You've got to feel those emotions-even the negative ones work-such as one of mine: If I never see the Redwood Forest or a sequoia tree or other wonderful places before I die I will be very sad about it, like I missed out on one of my biggest dreams (travel) in life. I can actually FEEL that sadness now, and it does motivate me to work.

9. Be consistent-Slow and steady wins the race. Don't give up. I've seen people see profits in as little as 3 months and as long as 4 years-the 4 year one was recently invited to speak at a Ted Talk!
