Writing for Someone Else
I am maintaining a site, for my wife, that deals with a medical condition. She is hoping that the blog can stimulate discussion and provide encouragement for others with the same condition. I have learned a bit about writing for others particularly when they know fairly specifically what they want to say.
The person you are writing for should:
- choose keywords.
- choose images.
- choose links to other relevant information sites.
- okay the basic outline for any article.
- okay the format of the article in terms of headings and sub headings.
- edit the article before its published.
- respond to any comments.
In my opinion, this is minimal involvement for the person for whom you are writing content. To allow the first 3 steps to happen, lists of keywords, images and information links must be developed. Choice in these 3 areas will allow the person's emotion and intent to shine through the article.
These steps are especially true if you are being paid to write the article. If my wife gets quiet after she reads an article I have written for her, I know we need to discuss changes. Writing for others is an interesting, exciting process, but there needs to be discussion and compromise to keep on fishin'!

Writing for others is definitely quite an experience; it's challenging when they provide you with the topic they like, but not how they would like it structured.
Thanks for the tips!
That is essentially what I do for all of the writing I do for others, thanx for pointing it out!
Did you have to mention keywords, lol? Other than that, check, check, check!
Thanks for your post!
Keep fishin!
Becky :)
