Your first paragraph seems really long and is a little hard to read. I would try breaking it up into a few sentences. I would also look at adding a line like "You can do something like ... and then get paid for it as ..." Tying that in with the community that helps you along the way is what got me interested. It would not hurt to give them an example of what you are doing and provide the link to your site so they get a better idea. If you don't have a site then maybe direct them to some one else's and say see what this person does.
