I finally have my niche... providing health coaching for women over the age of 50!
I've been at this a few months now, and I have to admit that I haven't been as focused as I would have liked. I just couldn't figure out what I really wanted to focus on. I started 4 different websites, but the first 3 didn't really light me up. It just seemed like there are thousands of other people out there already doing the same thing.
Then I came back to something that I've already done for several years and I know something about... fitness and health. H-m-m-m...not sure why that was hard to figure out. The other thing I figured out is that I don't have to be the only one out there doing it or writing about it. We're all different and we all have our own way to say things. I have a style that no one else has and it makes me unique.
My website is geared toward active, professional, busy, mature women. Of course, there's really something for everyone on my website. The health advice and exercise advice applies to everyone. But since I'm supposed to narrow down my niche, I'm gearing it toward a segment of the market that I know something about. My own!
I also want to mention the great training that I've been getting from Wealthy Affiliate. I'm on Course 4 which really gets into the social media aspect of marketing. I had no idea all those platforms were out there, and I had no intention of getting involved with most of them. But I see the opportunity that they provide, and since lots of people are on pinterest and twitter, I'm right there with them. It's a little overwhelming how much is out there and I'm sure it's growing every day. Thanks to Kyle and Carson, I know I'll be able to keep up with the latest "hippest" social media outlets.
Next on my agenda is to get my certification as a Health Coach. I'm getting the training through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). Then I'll be able to offer personalized coaching via phone or skype. I have lots of ideas of things to add to my website, including accepting payments, and I know I'm in the right place to get all the answers.

Sounds like you have a great niche with something you know a lot about! I too am passionate about women's healthcare! I've worked for a private practice OBGYN office for the past 13 years! Can't wait to see your site!

You found a good niche with us Baby boomers aging. I know you'll address food. I hate seeing women >50 with a milkshake and Big Mac complaining that it's tough getting old because you gain weight and have health issues. Will be checking your site out.
