So this site is awesome for telling you the ins and outs of making a website and monetizing it. The question that I have is those out there that are making good money what is yo

Great question! Especially since most people on WA have (or at least had) a 9-5 and are here because they want to supplement that income and eventually move entirely away from it.

For the last two years...I made a New Years Resolution to spend at least 1 hour per day on my "personal" business. That didn't exactly workout... and like TJamil below, I have yet to make a penny on the side. But I have faith!

I KNOW the methods taught here work, and it's entirely on ME to put them to work.

I'm once again committed to spending at least 1 hour per day on my new biz. That could be research, networking, writing, building, editing. Even just THINKING.

Last weekend over the 4th of July I got lucky enough that my wife and my best friends were out of town. So I had some time to build this - (http://stagfund.com/wordpress/). Still a work in progress, and I have some serious strategy to think about. But I got shit done.

Getting shit done FEELS good and motivates you to get more done the next day.

SO - long story short - there's no right answer. But doing something (anything) is so much better than doing nothing.

If you want a kick in the ass, I suggest picking up Tim Feriss' "The Four Hour Work Week" and subscribe to his podcast. He is super motivating and his guests are awesome.

Sorry for the long nonsensical post... hope it helped just a little. Good luck!

- Dom

Ok I will look I to the podcast thanks.

Would love to answer it but I havent made any income so far.

I put the code in a text widget. I want to appearance and widget and put the form as the first thing in the list but instead it is putting it at the bottom of the page. Any ideas o

What you can try to do is make an exact copy of the widget that you now have your script in for GetResponse, if I'm right you have it in your header widget, right?

Well, if you make a copy or a new one exactly the same as the one already there, now you have two...

the new one doesn't have the header image in it and if you made an exact copy of the one already there you need to remove the header image.

Now you just let the old header image for what it is only remove the GetResponse script and copy that over to your other widget that doesn't have the header image... ok? I hope you can follow this...

Now the last thing you need to do is just move the widget with your getresponse script wherever you want it to show.

Can be that because of a theme you are maybe using that you need to do it this way because the theme makes a difference between a text widget and a header widget and maybe you can only use the header widget for your getresponse script.

There's always a way around, if this doesn't work contact me via a PM and maybe I can help you with adding it with the help of some cleaver coding, I know from WordPress Developers that you simply add your own functions over a theme that already exists.

I know that you can use a bit of Javascript to get some hidden functions visible and you can also use it to add your functions just before the theme you're using and wordpress integrates it automatically for you, for example if your theme doesn't support dropdown menus you can add the function simply with a bit of Javascript that will trigger the integration automatically.

It's because I have the same thing and my theme doesn't support those dropdown menus that I wanted to know if I could add the functions myself, it's a wordpress based theme and if you go to wordpress developers they will always give you more info as the one that you have your theme from, they don't want you to mess with their theme. But we don't change anything we just add our function on top of it so they can't do anything about it.

very interesting or not?

Best regards,

Ricardo Penders

your not by chance putting this code inside of a footer?

No it is in the side menu I thought that at first too.

You should be able to click and drag the widget up to the top, you don't need to change any code.

This might help: or you can use the serach bar for more turorials, blogs etc ;-)

Good to know but did not work for what I need as the sign up form needs to add code. Thanks though.

yeah, this is what I'm talking about in the first comment. This link here from DIGGER12 is exactly what I was referring to.

Well done for providing this link in here.

So, I am on course 4, lesson 7 and I am looking at the analytics and my growth is amazing, had just under one hundred sessions last week and on take to be close to 150-200 this wee

Hi Derek! -

You should start building your list as soon as possible! :)

Thanks all for the info. I think after reviewing what everyone has said so far. I think I may wait until I get the mini recipe ebook I am working on done then offer that as incentive to join the list.

Oh...there you go! Something FREE just for signing up...that's the way to do it!

I would start straight away hun

Yap. I would also like to know when is the right time to start building an email list. Is there any training on this?

Oh, yes,! There are quite a few...just type into the above search bar...

Anytime...your search bar at the top will be your best bet. There are quite a few tutorials.

Hello! Aren't you already adding content? You should have been adding content in the first Course.
You can start your email list anytime. GO!

Yeah I do have content and I am adding to it a couple times a week maybe a little more. I was not meaning to imply I was not adding content. More just seeing if I should just focus on the training and content as it does not appear that email list building is in the training up to the end of course 5.

Right...correct...you scared me! I don't use an email list but absolutely...go for it!
