Failure success

It seems I have read a few blog post lately about failure.
Life can be full of failures and normally most people don't even notice them or are able to rise above them realizing they are only temporary and minor things that pass on by.
Some people look at failures as a challenge for improvement and motivation to work harder. That is the best way to handle small failures.
I am retired from the U.S. Postal Service and they always had an acronym for everything as many places even in the private sector businesses do.
I saw a couple acronyms the other day concerning failure and then I made up three more myself.
FAIL: First attempt in learning
No: Next opportunity
Quit: Quick using infinite talent

I have been having a rough time lately and not just here trying to get this website to be the best I can make it be. Honestly if it wasn't for this community and my faith to keep pressing onward, I would have probably thrown in the towel.
Well I am 68 years old and still haven't learned all I need to know to survive in this dog-eat-dog world! I am so thankful to be a part of WA because I know it is not that way here!
I was listening to an interview with Jack Canfield. He was talking about getting his famous book "Chicken Soup for the Soul" published. Maybe some of you have heard about it but he was rejected by 144 publishers before one of them finally said yes.
He said he was not about to give up because there are over 4000 publishers out there and he KNEW one of them would eventually accept it. He was right for sure!!!
Another analogy he gave was if he was standing in front of an audience of 100 people he would start out at person #1 and ask if they have a red car? Maybe by the time he got to #10 or #11 somebody would say yes. All the red cars have not magically disappeared off the road.
Thankfully I am not in a position where I desperately need to make money here soon, but it is a personal goal. An achievement that I will continue to strive for.
I remember back working at the Post Office and setting different goals to retire. The first was 30 years which would have been 2006. I was still in good health, making good money and benefits so I blew right past that! I was a clerk working indoors not fighting the elements every day and customer's vicious dogs! Carrying mail was not my cup of tea.
I went past a couple other goals but my last one was 41 years and 11 months which would be August 2018. Well I didn't make it, and not because of health. I was just tired of feeling abused and not appreciated. I left the end of October 2017.
Failures though I have had many both big and small. This is a challenge to me and I have always loved to learn. Trouble is I might be a slow learner and it might not make others happy if they are depending on me, but given enough time I will keep trying until I succeed.
I love Wealthy Affiliate and I will keep going through the training and give it how ever long it takes me. Thanks to all my brothers and sisters here and many would be sons and daughters but I love you all and appreciate all the help and encouragement!!!
