Marketing Your Content To Google

Yes, It Says "To Google"

There is a reason for that. More than likely, if your site doesn't come up on the first or second page of a google search, not very many people will even see it. EVER!!!

Therefore, you need to market your site to google. By that I mean you need to know the things google looks for when ranking your pages and posts.

Many people today don't think that content is still king. They think that they just need good keywords and internal and external links and back links and so on. All those things are good, but......

Are you aware that google still includes content in search engine ranking factors? Yes They Do! Content is in the top three factors google looks at which means that it is still a pretty important part of how your pages and posts get ranked.

So, you want your content to reach your target audience, right? Then, it needs good ranking, right? How do you get that, what does google look for in content these days?

One thing is how empathetic you are toward your audience. When people perceive that you are empathetic to their problem (or need) they are more likely to check out your site. They form a bond with you through your site and they then return. Google wants to see that your are actually offering something and not just filling a page with ads trying to sell stuff to people.

Also, people search the internet the way they talk so look for keywords or phrases that answer who or what, how, when, why and where.

Using synonyms within your content will give you additional keywords without it looking forced.

Good content that's conversational and that people can relate to is most important.

So maybe content isn't exactly "King" anymore but, it's still most definitely important!
