I Broke The Screen Capture!

Oh yes, not once but twice, I have caused it to crash and once it even took duck duck go with it!

Why, you ask. Let me explain...

Basically, it's all in the name "Screen Capture". When they say "Screen Capture", that's what they mean!

I recently decided to start on Affiliate Bootcamp here at Wealthy Affiliate to help refresh my memory on how to do things. I thought I might as well create an affiliate site while I was reviewing. I've been busy fixing broken links, etc on my original site and trying to start up a site for my brick and mortar business and realized I really needed a review of things.

Well, we got to the privacy policy page where Kyle gives us one to copy and insert our information where the website name is, etc. I got this "scathingly brilliant" idea. I would use the screen capture to copy it instead of copying & pasting, etc.

DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!

Like I said, not only did the screen capture crash, it took duck duck go with it as well. Everything's OK now but I had a few scary moments.

Awesome Screenshot is pretty awesome but, it is not made to copy more than portions of a page and certainly not whole documents.

Lesson learned! Use your tools the way they were intended to be used!

My newish MAC BOOK PRO crashed because I HAD TOO MANY SCREENSHOTS ON MY DESKTOP,

Aaaaargh!

Searched the code to fix it and tried many many times to move all to file to no avail.

Help?

You might want to post this question to the community as I have no experience whatsoever with Macs! It's probably something really simple but it is frustrating when it happens. I delete a lot of pics and screenshots once I've used them on WA or on my site because they do take up space. I have cloud storage but I only use that for stuff I know I want to keep forever. Good luck - let me know what you find out.

I wish I could have gotten an actual picture of it telling me they had crashed Mike but, of course, I couldn't do that because the screen capture was one of the things that was crashed! I just wasn't thinking when I tried it. I should have known better.

When you like it more as an image, I do that in MSPaint, add the image, and put the text below or on the image, then save as a picture

Thanks Loes. You're always there with a good answer!

You're welcome:) just share my experiences:)

Just use standard copy and paste to add the text to your site. an image won't have the same impact and you can't edit the image without special software.
