WA Community - Good to Know
I was very pleasantly surprise with the warm welcome and generous support from the community; I didn’t hesitate to become a premium member; in fact I was so excited I totally missed the opportunity in the lessons where I got to experience the free SiteRubix website that came with the free week and beyond.
Therefore I purchased a domain name right from the start. During the lessons Kyle kept referring to the free domain, I kept saying to myself, why does he keep mentioning free domain, where is it.
It wasn’t until at some point during the lessons that I decided to change my domain name and start over, at which point I noticed the free domain offer.

Nonetheless, three months may not seem like a long time, but three months is also the longest I’ve stayed on any social platform online, and I’ve been around the internet since the beginning of time.
I’ve tried many other popular social networks and clubs, the free one, the paid ones and everything else in between ones, (you know the score), but none of them held my interest for very long.
When I landed here, I was very cautious therefore I threaded careful; most of the time I would read the blogs, read the questions, and observing.
During my first free week, I looked around to see if they are people like me, with the same goals in mind.
Although I’m still relatively new, I’m now armed with more knowledge, than when I first started and am even able to help answer questions posted on the forum.
This is an amazing community, here are some of the things we support each other with:
WE - THE COMMUNITY
- lift each other up when called, by offering support
- motivate and inspire, each other with words in our blogs
- show each other the way, but answering questions when asked
- support what each other have to say, but reading each other blogs
- cheer each other on victoriously through each challenge accomplished
- entertain each other with our matching words and images, showing how far we’ve come.
- discipline each other if anyone step out of line, with our “not here you don’t” attitude.
Some may think of the latter as a negative, but I look at it as a positive. After all it’s what
makes us a great community.
Just about every community
around the world in our off-line
lives have a strong member(s)
looking out for its members,
that position in our off-line life
is called a policeman, online
communities are no different.
There are times when I get a
good chuckle from some of the
comments posted here.
We may not all be on the same page at the same time, but that’s what makes us a community.

Hi Melanie,
I find it rather amusing that you would refer to this platform as being a social platform.
"but three months is also the longest I’ve stayed on any social platform online,"
and
"I’ve tried many other popular social networks and clubs, the free one, the paid ones, and everything else in-between ones, (you know the score), but none of them held my interest for very long."
These two statements, brings attention to me because it tells me that the integrity of this great community and the platform has already been degraded from being a great learning platform to a social media platform!
Yes, WA's community is one of the best that I have come across as well, and I too have been involved in many over the past 20 years of being online.
I especially like your very last bulleted point it is very noteworthy and valid; some sort of discipline within the community is always needed. A very strong statement that controls the reliability and validity of the community. Additionally, without discipline, the community stands a chance of losing it integrity, and respectability.
The sad part is that this platform has grown to almost 2 million strong (that in itself is a good thing) but the growth allows many rule violators to go undisciplined.
Furthermore, that is a sad thing because the quality of the community weakens as these rule infractions go uncontrolled.
So whenever you see a rule being violated please make note of it to Carson or Kyle so that they can deal with it, if not I think you are just as guilty as the rule violator of decreasing the community's worthiness.
Without discipline, the community will eventually run amuck,
Calvin

Hi Calvin,
Thanks for your generous and informative feedback. Sorry for referring to our community as a social platform, it's lack of better wording. Didn't mean to offend.
"Learning platform" is a much better description of our community.
Your in depth feedback tells me you really took the time to read and digest every word, which is much appreciated.
May we all take care of this great learning platform by reporting any violation that we may encounter.
Thanks again for your constructive feedback, it very much appreciated. I'm still learning.
Melanie
