APPEAL for Another Chance – What’s in a name

Ever wonder if somethings were just meant to be; are mistakes coincidences?

It all started after responding to a message in the conversation box titled “Private messaging cannot see an option?” I responded “OoooPs” but deep down I was thinking “nice one, I’ve heard that before, so funny”

Then I decided to join in the conversation and further elaborated on an issue I was having with changing my username here on Wealth Affliate, which appears to be a bug in the new system that was preventing the change to occur. The old system allowed one change only, this new system didn’t seem to honour change at all.

In short, Last night after a few weeks of pondering upon changing my user name, I finally decided to go ahead and make the change.

Actually, I have to give Cassi credit for the final push after reading her article ” The Best Time To Launch A Brand - Begin With Your End In Mind” which makes sense.

However, I posted a ticket with tech support to address the issue, someone responded, but the problem persisted, I just couldn’t get the name to roll over and change. Therefore, while on the topic of system issues and slip-ups, I posted a little blurb about the system issue while

messaging back and forth with AbieAJ, on the same topic “Private messaging cannot see an option?” finally I decided to try it again after Abbie’s update.

This time a new button appeared; I tried the following names and got the responses: Melb, (not available); Melbee (not available),DmeLB, no response and nothing in the space.

Then a light bulb in my mind came on flashing a new name “omaffiliate” and the thought over and over “get the domain name, see if it’s available” so I checked and BOOM! it’s available. “Got It.”

When back into my account happier than a pig in muck with my new name, inserted it into the empty box and got a message stating that I’m not allowed to make anymore changes. I took this as “guess that’s my new name, when back to the conversation to thank AbieAJ and update her.

To my surprise DMelB showed up as my username, along with a shout out from Abbie congratulating me.

I honestly wanted to run, hide shout, scream, cry you name it.

What a mess, now I’m stuck with a username that doesn’t match my domain name.

I was only playing around with the name DmelB, now I’m stuck with it, I’m hoping that Tech Support would recognized this as a system issue and honour “omaffiliate”.

Is this meant to be, or just a messed-up coincidence.
