Trying to figure out how to create posts less than a thousand words

The good news about my niche Schizophrenia is that because of a variety of things within a post can draw in crossover illnesses and increase my audience potential based on the topic. However, I have two issues I need to work through, and I would love your advice.
In mental illness I dont have the exact terms at hand, but mental health professionals rate you based on your ability to function. Part of this includes the ability to retain and stay engaged with a conversation or an article that is written. When developing my blog, I am assuming that people who cannot retain and stay focused will come to my blog. If they are looking at a thousand word article, for mid or low functioning viewers that is about 700 words to many. So, that is an issue that I am trying to figure out a way around.
The other issue regards blind people. Yes, I know about the screen readers an all of that, But those tools being artificial intelligence do not give blind people the chance to personally engage with me and connect with my personality etc.
So, my question to all of you who have been at this a while is would it be counterproductive to put a text and video together in the same post? I definitely want to maximize and set my site up according to how the training teaches you, but dealing with a special needs audience has its challenges. Any thoughts or advice is appreciated.
Cheers,
Dave

You can definitely have text and a video on the one blog post, in fact, Jay (WA's live trainer) recommends a video on every post for SEO purposes.

I love the idea of a read podcast of your blog, great idea Jennifer.

I also think you can still do a 1000 word post but make sure you break it up with headlines. Everyone, not just people with mental health, skim read. If you have catchy headlines that will stop them and get them reading the bits they are interested in.

Hope that helps some :)

It does HeidiY, I apprecaite your feedback. I will do some test runs and see how it goes. Again, Thank you

Hello David:

I think what you have chosen as a niche is very good. You could list the pro's and con's of the illness. You could list medications and therapy that are effective to treat this sickness. You could list or link retreats that can treat this. I do know that it is not written in stone you must submit a blog with less then 1k words. My suggestion is research the heck out of you key word search. Put it down in your own words. Step back and take a deep breath and relax.

Go take a moment and look at my website. I am still writing another blog and working with my calendar.I'm at ubetwecanhelp.com and the name of my site is All About Knives. Make sure you leave comments about the site.

Hi David

One thought came to mind about sending your message to a sight impaired audience.

You could try putting a pod cast which is audio so that they could listen to your blogs when they visit your site.

There maybe an app that is targeted at this audience that will lead the to these audio blogs.

What do you think?

All the best
Jennifer
