Kyle's training really does cover a lot of the ins and outs of google and what determines rank and so forth so I'd say definitely get busy with the training on the green tab on the left.
In a nutshell, creating quality content that creates a good user experience will build your rank. It doesn't happen overnight. Google wants to develop trust with your site so it simply takes time.

I am a newbie in the online world but I am now understanding a lot through the lessons and experiences I am going through.
Your rank at WA. Be able to participate in the discussions, don't be shy to contribute what you know about the subject. Ask questions too if you have anything you want to be clarified. And have your posts on your interest subject.
When it comes to your site ranked or indexed by Search engines. Just fill your site with content particularly with your niche. A content now is not only based with the word count but it is easily ranked and indexed if it is originally yours, concise and with images that are not watermarked.

the training on here - once you are premium, takes you through from starting with no knowledge to having an online business setup.
so start the training, choose your niche, start producing authority posts, and if people think that you are helping them in your niche they will trust you enough to pruchase what you recommend.
you need time to earn peoples trust, and give them solutions to the problems in their niche.
