How to block spamjunk comments
Can someone here direct me as to how I go about blocking spam comments on my blog posts? Especially one of my posts is being blasted by spam. Don't know what to do about it. Your sugeestions would be so welcome.

A great deal of spam nowadays is from bots... to stop the bots I use the WP Armour Honeypot plugin. I used to get at least 20 bot spam attacks each day and WP Armour stopped that within seconds of activating it. It stops the bots from getting to comments and various contact forms. It's very easy to implement and doesn't interfere with human contacts.

You're welcome. If you go down this route I suggest that, although it is very easy to set up (just turn it on) it's worth reading about how it works because when you are logged in to WP you will see things that your site visitors won't see!

I installed the plugin you recommended and am still getting spam. I think even more than before. Do you use the extended version of this plugin? What's odd (Well I think it is) only one of my blog posts gets these spam comments. None of the others do.

OK... when you look at comments on your site, while you are logged into WP Dashboard, do you see the following image? I.E, the blue area at the bottom?
