As I Start on my Journey
In the past few weeks I have started to think pretty hard about my exit stradegy from my fulltime job of being a paramedic for the past 40 years. My story is more than being in public safety. Along the way I have started three companys, one of which is a software company that is still active. I want to find something else that will initially suplemtent my salary and eventually support me. I have considerible graphics experience already and have developed at least 8 websites, 7 Facebook fan pages, and 2 Youtube channels. I came accross the Wealth Affiliate by researching other Amazon Affilates, my Facebook page was blowing up with adds for trainers promising big earnings and of course they charge a pretty penny. Hard to know who and what to believe. When someone tells you that they make millions of dollars every year and then turn around and actively recruit students to teach them their secrets just didn't add up. So far in my first 2 hours I have found the tutorial pretty basic since this is stuff I have already done. I have decided to record my journey as I progress through the process. My initial plan is to just go through all the lessons, absorb things, read many blogs, ask lots of questions. So far I find the task of buidling websites probably the easisiest thing to do. My plan this weekend I will build a few websites and keep building each week. So stay tuned.

We have purchased about 8 domain names in the first year.
Mainly we both are only working on the one website each at this time.
The other six are for the future as one website each takes up a lot of our time and we also have another online business that we have been operating for the past 16 years.

Thank you for sharing. I want to look at some ideas and find out what is working for others then i will start to build a few sites. I know it takes time, since I have created websites and managed SEO, analytics in the past.
Wealthy Affiliate doesn't promise you will be making millions by the end of next week. What they do is give you a plan that builds each day / week towards the goal of having an online income.
Many people start with a blog, but with all the training available elsewhere in the site (Jays live training for example), many expand into other fields of expertise.
Looking at your background, I think you would find this quite usefull and potentially very profitable.
I don't have a tech background, and to make progress I first need to learn, but I do write, and keep my blog active.
One thing about WA, is it is a no B/S site, It tells it like it is.

Thank you for your kind words. I am actually hopeful that I combine my skills and history of building something from the ground to good use. Though in this case I am getting more help and support then I have had in the past. I think the reason I am attracted to this site is because it doesn't promise the world and instant success. I believe like you stated, time and hard work to build something that will support you and give you pleasure. How long have you been at it?
I joined as a free starter last August, Went premium around xmas, work committments weren't helpful and I have only become more active over the past two months. Made a sale the other day, so I its all good.

Thank you. Don't get me wrong, I have had them on, but most of it if very familiar to me. What I am to figure out is the ideas for websites. I am poking around trying to get ideas and concepts. I am fortunate that the web work will be the easy part. I just need to get through the rest of the tutorials, which I am dedicating today to and then get started this weekend. Ha! Ha! I have been here for almost 4 years. But for 2 1/2 years, I'm not active here. Just recently I started to be active to improve my English and learn how to communicate better. I have made a lot of mistakes but I'm learning from it. Go ahead and do what you want and I wish you all the best and success.
