Less is Better?

Hello happy people.

So, I have been playing around with my sites over the last few weeks and also trying to get into the HTML language at the same time.

Here is what I discovered:

When I am writing an article for my website content and I start playing about with the headings, and font size and font type, etc, bad things happen. Take a look.

However, if I keep it simple and just turn the title of the paragraph into a heading (eg, H3) and not make anymore changes then this happen:

This might not impress some people at WA who understands this sort of thing but for me I can now see how it could be better to have less changes as it is probably easier for search engines and of course Word Press Editor to work with your site.

Am I starting to understand HTML code or am I misguiding myself?

Thanks for reading and please feel free to comment as I am not an expert on HTML code...yet :-)

I have never understood why Wordpress sometimes puts all of those extra things in between the tags, but I try to keep my code as clean as possible.

I think that all this extra 'baggage' contributes to the 'funny things' that happen (things that you don't want to happen) when you edit your content.

I wonder if that is true?

I don't know. If you really want to see weird things in the html with Wordpress, try dragging a photo onto the page, instead of uploading it through the media tool. It adds hundreds or thousands of unrecognizable characters to the code.

Not sure if I am brave enough to try that!

You can do it. Sometimes I have to experiment a bit but I haven't broken the internet . . . yet!
