Goal vs Process

Goals are good because we know where we are headed, but it only takes a few seconds to make a goal.

The process is the power behind the goal because without it we will never reach that goal.

What is this process? It is a type of system but not a complete system. A system means systematic which means: 'the same, over and over and over again'. In our lives however, we have unpredictability which changes any system therefore not making it a real system.

Our goal needs a flexible system, one that is willing to change as we get closer to our goal (because we change as we get closer to it, and unpredictability changes things in our lives also). McDonald's has a system but not a complete system; it changes as food laws change, it changes as it enters different countries and cultures, it changes as its customers tastes change. Why does McDonald's succeed? Because their system isn't complete, it isn't closed, it isn't locked tight, it's flexible, simple and it keeps moving.

To reach our goal we need to create a system that is simple, flexible and keeps moving.

So, my system is simple: there's two things I can do at WA:-

  1. Work on my websites
  2. Work within WA (Lessons, Q & A's in the community, website reviews, reading blogs, etc).

Each time I visit WA I have made a decision which one of the two areas I am going to do, (I never do both because I need to get into the frame of mind for that type of work).

Flexibility is needed: I commit myself to work within WA 4 to 6 days per week, and I will provisionally choose which days those are at the beginning of the week and write them on the calendar for all to see. Flexibility is needed because the computer isn't always free when I want it, but I still make up the time later. Flexibility is needed because the tasks that I am doing in WA might need additional research and so I never commit myself to concrete deadlines, only flexible one's (no pressure, just fun!)

Keep moving, because that is the only way you will get anything done and get closer to your end result. It is vitally important to not get "brain lazy" or distracted with your website or WA self-development. The best way to prevent these little gremlins from taking over your mind and body is to write down what you need to do (such as change two pictures on the website, re-watch one of the WA video's,etc) and then cross it out when you have done it. The simple act of crossing out a task is pure joy to your brain and body!

Here's the keep moving SECRET: When you have crossed off your task, replace it with a new one for your next visit to WA!

Happy processing

Yep...when we have reached our goal.....set a new one and keep plugging away, because we all will always need to work more something higher than we have achieved thus far.

Oh jeez!! I am having a problem getting the time, what with my nights job and being to tired after my workouts before I go back to work!! Not practical at the minute to concentrate fully!!
