Create a Reason to Continue
Setbacks Are Coming
Here's the truth...
No matter how far you get in your digital journey, you are always going to encounter difficulties.
To put it more bluntly...
You are going to fail a few times. There’s just no getting around it. Mistakes are part of the game. You’re going to experience setbacks in your campaigns, in your strategies, and in your plans.
You will experience doubts and criticism.
These are big ones.
You will be your own worst enemy as you second-guess whether you can really achieve financial freedom or whether your content is any good.
And the critics? Oh man, wait until your mother, your father, your spouse, your best friend, your boss, the grocery clerk, or anyone with an opinion learns about what you are doing.
The critics will be everywhere. Is this a scam? Are you involved in those pyramids schemes? Why can’t you just be happy? Why are you so money hungry? And on it goes.
You Need a Big Reason to Continue
Yes, you will probably need to develop a thick skin. But a longer-term strategy is to have a deep meaningful reason to continue.
What is your biggest and highest aspiration? Why do you get up every morning? What drives you? What is it that you'd do even if you didn't get paid?
For an online business, the big reasons typically come down to freedom: freedom to spend more time with your family, to pursue your passion, to purchase the good things in life, to travel, or to control your own destiny.
Many of these can become powerful motivators when times get rough.
To stick with YOUR desire, you've got to want it badly, and thus your BIG REASON has to come from something deep inside of you, from your core. It's different for everyone, but it's there and you've gotta find it.
Examples of Why
For some people, their BIG REASON is their parents who came to their host country, poor and destitute and built up a life so that their kids could have a better life than they did.
They want to reward their parents.
For others it has to do with helping people experience a transformation in their life. Teachers will tell you that their pay isn't that great, but the personal benefits of seeing kids change is all the reward they need.
Some people see the desperate need in this world and wish they could do something about it besides just donate $19 per month to help a child.
On a personal note, I think "making more money" is not a big enough reason. It's too vague. Instead, you should dig behind what you really want to accomplish with the extra funds.
I cannot tell you what your big reason should be.
We are all wired differently. We all have different experiences that shape our beliefs and desires. But, if you want to have a greater chance at success in your business, you must find that reason.
Your big reason will be your inspiration on down days. It's what is going to keep you going when you experience setbacks, fear, indecision, doubt, criticism, lack of progress, and all that comes with succeeding in your own business.

Earning more money is the reward that I am looking for
but the real reason I started doing this is I have always
wanted to work online.
When I was working full time prior to retirement I would
search for ways to make money online, yes I paid for a
bunch of scams.
This is a challenge to building my very own business but
one that has been a wonderful journey and no I will not
give up or quit.
So in being honest with myself, I would say it is a dream
that I always wanted to do.
