Feeling Lost

Have you ever felt lost or all alone? Perhaps when starting a new job or learning something new? Well that is exactly how I was feeling here. Before coming here to WA to learn how to build a website and make money through that website, I worked in retail. No where near this kind of thing.

While reading the material and watching the videos diligently, I was still having problems and getting stuck/ I then remembered that they said that if you ever need help.... you can ALWAYS find help. Just go in to chat live and there will be someone who will be able to answer your question.

So what did I do..... I headed off to live chat, introduced myself, said hi to everyone and then proceeded to ask my question. WOW to much dismay... no one offered to help me or answered my question. After about sitting here in front of my computer, I finally got a message back that said.... go to this lesson and redo it.

I was almost to tears, as I was not having the best of days anyways, when I remembered that I had gotten a message from someone on here when I did my introduction of myself and started looking quickly for it as tears began to stream down my cheeks.

Whew! There it is... I quickly emailed them asking if they could help me. Leaving my cell number in case they wanted to call and walk me through. As I waited I started reading again, as even though I felt all alone....I AM NOT A QUITTER and was very determined.

Then it happened! My knight on a white horse [or maybe I should say Bear on a white horse?????? ] If you said Teddy Bear.... you are RIGHT!!!! He was the only one who actually took the time to help me, walking me through it step by step.

After spending about an hour or so, I was starting to feel more confident and not so lost. I finally got my website to look like it did on the videos with the different pages etc. I started jumping for joy and my spirit and outlook changed dramatically!!!!

I truly can't believe that there was not one person in live chat or when I posted a question took the time to at least ask me what was exactly wrong out of a community on here of how many people???

I still have along way to go and a lot of things to do. I know that it will take time for me to do and not to get upset that others are either done, up and running or close to it........BUT without the help of Teddy Bear on a white horse, I would have a lot more to do and lost

THANKS TEDDY BEAR....... MY KNIGHT ON A WHITE HORSE!!!!!!!

Digger just read your blog. Your right there should be more of a spirit of giving in the community. Thanks to the Teddy Bear who shows us this program works.

You are right. I experienced social chat when I first used chat a few months ago. Then I learned to dig deeper in WA and looked at webinar
archives and also found high ranking ambassadors who have developed knowledge, expertise and willingness to get serious about business building.

That is what I am doing now.

Hi Rhett, sorry to hear that happened to you. It's happened to me too on live chat in the past.

I suppose it depends who is on chat and if they were already talking to someone else. And, maybe whether or not they noticed your question since it sometimes goes rather fast. I myself rarely use it since I find it difficult to sort through.

Like a few have mentioned already, it's been my experience too that it usually works to ask a question right there at the end of the lesson in the discussion section. It might take a little while or so, but usually someone answers.

If not, I'd ask again or even write it out in a blog. At least that's what I've found to work. Also, if nothing else is working, you can always send a PM to other Premium members too. It might take awhile, but most will give you an answer when they get a chance to do so.

Anyways, I'm glad to hear you got your questions answered. It pays to hang in there!

One little suggestion, if I may...don't worry about where others are at, we all work at our own pace. It's better to actually learn what you're doing by taking your time, it's not a race or a competition.

Sure, some may see "success" at a few months or so down the road, but others may take a year or more...there's nothing wrong with that. Just focus on your goals and what you need to do to get them done. You will get there, just keep on moving forward.

Best wishes :) ~Sherry

Thanks Sherry

Hi there, I believe most of us newbies have had similar experience with Chat. What you did, from learing, training, completing the tasks and asked/posted questions was a greater benefit to you or me, in that matter...... There are many great "teachers" within WA who are fantastic in sharing their knowledge! Hang in there! Bernie

You are so right on there Bernie!!!!
I have met quite a few that are more than willing to help. You just have to ask.

Hey guys

When I first started about six weeks ago, I thought - wow, this is such a huge place, WA! How will anyone be able to help me if I get stuck? Everyone will be working their own journey, will anyone assist 'little old me'? Well my discovery was very quickly a great big, YES!!!

I found that the chat area didn't really focus on work, as much as the social scene. So what I started doing was, when I finished a lesson, I put any problems and questions I had, there on the end of the lesson.

I'm still finding that to be an awesome way to get help. I have always had help by doing it like this, 100%. I follow training, do the tasks, and ask any questions then and there, at the end of the tasks.

I haven't gone back to the chat area or the classroom. I find people don't get answered in the classroom either - unless of course I'm missing something, which is likely, ha ha.

So best of luck with it. I hope you always get help when you need it. I find the WA community family to be second to none! I wish great successes to you, always!

Cheers! Jennifer!

Keep going. Persistence for many months in this effort will yield definite results.

WA is the best place Jennifer! Myself I have seen scams come and go, good sites with expensive costs come and go but WA with the very affordable cost still remains and keeps on growing better everyday. I can't wish for anything better!

WA has centered itself on help and compassion not money or business and that's why I like it and I am not living ever! Hoe you are with am on this...

I would like to hear from you.....

I'm following you now and even though I'm still very new, if I can help you with the sort of stuff us newbies need help with, I will always be very happy to try.

I read the sorts of issues people are talking about, but I don't know much of what they are discussing, but we will all get there! It's a bit above my head at the moment, but that's okay.

I'm having so much fun, leaning heaps everyday and I too, love the community here at WA. I keep saying it was a blessing just to find WA, it really was!

Just keep going, no matter what your process is. If something's not working, it will soon let you know it and you can make the changes needed to get going again.

Cheers!

Thanks ..... I will try to help too as much as I can, or will help you find someone who can

Teddy Bear truly is a knight! He is always willing to help and share.

I have never used chat. It has never felt like the right medium to get a real answer to a gnarly or specific problem. The response also depends on who happens to be on chat at that particular moment! Always has felt like a crap shoot.

So, I just type my question in to the question box and I have never been disappointed. I have either gotten the perfect answer or at least an answer that has put me on the right track or has unstuck my brain.

Best to you!

Brad

Rhett,
I had the same experience last week! I have not been back to "chat" since. It was a total waste of time as not a single person answered my question. I just post in a blog or email the group of people who has helped me before or who I have helped. That has worked for me. Good luck to you!

Hi Swangirl
Sorry to hear that it happened to you too. I know that the chat live rolls pretty fast at times and if people are talking about something or someone while they are working on their site, they just look for that person to answer back. I have found a good WA buddy that has helped me and I am very greatful. If you haven't already, check out Chris Scott aka Teddy Bear.

Hi Rhett I have noticed that a number of people re-post their questions several times because other people are constantly adding questions and your and others people questions are getting pushed down the list, so I would recommend that you re-post your question a number of times and see what happen for next time.

I did post it more than once. I even put it in the hey... you have a question box. You are right though the chat room was moving pretty fast. I will keep plugging away and try again when I get stuck.
Thanks
Rhett

You are so wecome!!!
My WA buddy. Thank you for letting me help
-Teddy Bear
