My edit button is not letting me edit my website to add a blog
Not sure what you mean.
In WP, select "Posts" in the left menu, then "Add New". That should bring up the Add New Post screen where you enter the title in the top field and below that you should see the blank post editor area.
Can you get that far? Please provide more details about exactly what you are doing and seeing. ~Jude
