My Lockdown Wedding

So, it's not often I write a non-business related post, but I am sure you will forgive me on this special occasion! Those of you who follow me will be aware that yesterday was my wedding day. Tony finally popped the question after 14 years together! We live in an area of the UK with one of the highest rates of infection of Covid, so we knew that our marriage had to be a low-key ceremony with restrictions.

Thus, it was just ourselves, with our two best friends as witnesses, and yes, we all had to wear face masks throughout, which isn't terribly romantic! Most disappointing was that no indoor photos could be taken, which is a shame as it was a gorgeous room decorated with autumnal flowers. Still, we were able to say our vows and exchange rings as normal.

Following the ceremony, we went for a few drinks and a delicious meal at a local Italian restaurant. The food and service were superb, and we were treated like royalty. However, under the lockdown restrictions, we were not allowed to sit at the same table as our friends, but were seated close enough that we could still hold a conversation.

Obviously, an exotic honeymoon is currently not an option, so after a fabulous day, we returned home. We had bottles of champagne and brandy waiting for us, and spent the evening dancing together to our favourite songs. Due to the lockdown restrictions, we certainly had a wedding to remember!

Congratulations. Your wedding sounds wonderful. It isn't the size of the wedding that matters but the size of the love between town people. The fact that you went ahead and made the best of a difficult situation and found a unique way to celebrate your love speaks volumes. We wish you many happy years together and best wishes with your WA business as well. Stay safe.

Wedding is the most beautiful and happiest day in the life of every woman, but also a man. This day is remembered throughout life, it doesn’t matter if it was some big or small ceremony.

Wedding during the Corona virus is definitely a new experience for all of us, which we will also remember and retell to our children and grandchildren.
Congratulations👏
Cheers🥂

It's good that you started writing your post stating that it's non-business related (your 1%). Since I believe that most of the people you have contact with are here, that's perfectly fine, aside from the fact that you are one of the members who actually help other members on a daily basis (your 99%).
That's a big step you've taken, congratulations Diane and I wish you both the best.

Good afternoon Diane,

What a story. I am happy you could tie the knot and now start with being happily married. It took Tony quite a while to ask you. I do hope that next year you can have your wedding party followed by a lovely honeymoon.

Greetings from the south of Spain,

Taetske
