Attitude Check!
Attitude Check? What is THAT?
I've noticed throughout life that sometimes we all need to examine our attitude. None of us are immune to those moments of forgetting ourselves and showing a bit of negativity. Yes, I've even seen it on WA, albeit, only occasionally (thankfully!)
When my kids were growing up, I could sharpen their attitude quickly with just the word "attitude". My oldest son, always quick to lighten a mood, developed the addition of "Check!"
And then, the person showing a slight of attitude had a moment to realize the transgression and get back into a happy state of mind.
I'm quite sure that state of mind is something we choose to control (or choose not to) and that it has an amazingly strong effect on everything in our lives. How could it not?
And so, I have to agree with Scott Hamilton with many of his quotes (and he has many!)
I always enjoyed watching Scott skate. Not only was he amazingly talented on the ice, but he had such flair and optimism. He just had so much fun skating--you could feel his happiness!
But, amazingly, he also had much to worry him. Three different times of cancer, including brain cancer. Can you imagine still being positive and happy with that?
I suspect that the fact that he has survived these cancers, despite the odds against him, has a lot to do with his attitude.
My goal is to always show such an amazing attitude in life. And I hope I have instilled that in my children, too.
I expect it will help through my website progress, too!
The only disability in life is a bad attitude. --Scott Hamilton

Nice one there Diane. I remember Scott H on the ice a very long time ago. He really had presence and you could see he was a star amongst stars. Did not realize his ailments but his perseverance, grit and determination to survive and live is something for sure I want....am embracing. Thanks
Hugh
A very excellent lesson, post, and quote, Diane! It made my day! Thanks for sharing!

When a man has the will and faith in himself, in a better tomorrow, no one can do anything to him. Willpower is something extremely powerful and especially when everything is against you. When life puts you in torment, only then can you find out what you were made of. You are either a warrior or you are not. It's simple. Your life philosophy depends on the answer to that question. Either you fight with all your might or you give up. But don't forget one thing, history is written by winners!
All very true, my friend. Thank you!
