Can we part while we create our initial site for launch?
I do not think so,there is no reason to do that. In the beginning nobody will see your site, as it needs to be indexed first. This will take a couple of weeks, during which you will publish your first pages/posts. Your site from Wordpress is ready to show from the beginning as well.
See, that's what I thought--about not having the option to park. With me, I've been flirting with the idea of getting really successful with my websites--long story---but now, after I've done much more since I first became a member here, I realize that I do not like that the website is "on" constantly; I have done this before, and as far as drawing traffic goes, well, that's my favorite thing; I'm a writer anyway, so you see, I want to launch this next site and I want to be able to play around with things first. Aslo, Google doesn't like it when we make changes originally, you know? I learned SEO originally from here, but I did go on ahead and take real classes, etc...I have my adobe suite with illlustrator and premiere pro--this time around, I'm using wordpress, but I'm choosing theme that will allow me to animate, use videos, etc...I just hate having things go out wrong--or not quite right at first. So, I think Kyle should be able to give us this option, regardless...but I guess it is what it is...I will be using another hosting site anyway, so I guess it's ok for one website to go up this way.

No problem, I saw that the guy in chat proposed to use a plug-in, so maybe that works for you. For me it is already afternoon, as I live in Thailand.

Right! Plug-ins! I keep forgetting that there is a plug in for everything! Of course!! : )
Thailand! How exotic! I'm in Michigan, not too far from Detroit--and Michigan is not Thailand! haha..but my whole family is from Italy, and my dad's family are all in Messina; my dad grew up with the Mediterranean Sea in the "backyard," and I love going there too; my personal goal, not that I finally made up my mind to change careers and get very professional with my writing again, my goal is to purchase a little place in Sicily no later than 2 years from now. I am going to also get my dual citizenship because this country--the absurd and gross greed and corruption is really poisoning my spirit!! I really kind of mean it! The people here, in my state for sure, have turned into zombies--no one thinks anymore--and I cannot stand it.
I hope I didn't offend you at all!! But, if you live there, I know you can't be offended by what I said, right?
