Building The Infrastructure
As I began watching the training that Kyle and Carson have made, I decided to watch it all before actually jumping in to designing my site — mainly because I've decided to do something much bigger than a run-of-the-mill affiliate site. A cash cow, if you will... :)
I'll be operating in an the amazing self-betterment/ entrepreneurial niche — one that I'm deeply familiar with... In fact, I'm already assembling a team of like-minded individuals that will ultimately contribute to the site for a stake in its profits.
As I build, brick by brick, I am reminded of a few lessons that my mentor once taught me:
1) If you plan on doing something big, find the right people and be sure to take your time searching. And make sure to leverage other peoples skills, assets, and money whenever possible.
2) Be sure before bringing someone on your team that you understand the underlying principals of what they are meant to do — mainly so you can judge if you need to replace them.
3) Do most of the due diligence yourself
4) The old military adage, "Proper planning prevents piss-poor performance."

Structure in organizations is more laterally distributed these days than the former vertical hierarchical pattern. The military has been slow to adapt this but they are making progress.
Hey, Darrell,
You have really great goals. And it seems that you're doing a great job on planning. All the best!
Kirill.
Darrell your mentor was very wise, sone of that wisdom has rubbed off. Thank you for sharing these insights.
Lol, love it! Building a solid foundation is essential to getting ahead, I have to agree with you :) Good luck pushing forward, regards, Jude.
Your mentor sounds like a smart person. If you don't have a good infrastructure, the rest will crumble.
