I am not a keyword expert, but I tend to stay away from keywords that have huge amounts of traffic. The huge, older, most trusted sites don't get lost in those numbers, but I think out tiny new sites do. The competition is okay, but the traffic is pretty high for me. I try to stay around 500 or so.
