Learning a Long Term Approach to Blogging.

Hello dear W.A. members! Well, it's something we all have concerns about from time to time as bloggers: 'where's the fruit of my labour?!'

There's so many variables when it comes to how SEO really works that there's never been a straightforward strategy to make accurate predictions about how and when a website will get to the point of being visible to our audience and bringing in that steady organic traffic.

It's all too easy to start checking how your site is doing (if it's relatively young) and where your posts are positioned and then getting despondent when viewing the results.

But what has enabled me to keep blogging is the passion I have for my niche. If you love to communicate about this interest and actually get to the point of enjoying the process, you lose a huge amount of that anxiety and worry about results.

There's always a positive to every article you write: you improve your skills, you have probably learned something yourself by doing some research or brushing up on your knowledge before writing, you are adding another brick to a virtual building that you want to turn into a skyscraper one day!

In fact, I even came up with the idea of buying building blocks so that every time I completed another blog post, I could give myself the satisfaction of adding one more block to my growing edifice! I'm able use medium size blocks and large sized ones. If an article is 2000+ words I get to add a large sized one to the structure, but the point is, I like to see it growing every time I accomplish another piece of content on the site!

I also get to use a large one if I have incorporated a video from my accompanying channel into a post.

All this is part of my strategy for enjoying the process and focusing on the progress with a kind of visible/physical reward for each step I take on my blogging journey.
