A positive mindset is the KEY to success
When I was first introduced to internet marketing, I had only got a TASTE of what was in store for me before I had to take a break due to a busy schedule!
Now, I have more time than ever, and have been learning the "game" (which is what I like to call it) for about a month now, I'm absolutely hooked. Every aspect of IM is not only a passion for me, but a hobby! I'm in love with it. Especially with the niche that I have chosen! (I'm not gonna give that one away though ;) )
Now why is a positive mindset the key to success?
If you have a positive mindset or an optimistic point of view, then you will never fail, everything you achieve is some type of success. So you make a site that gets little traffic and little to no conversions or maybe you couldn't even rank. Okay, well let's look at what WAS good.
You built a site didn't you?
You developed some type of content.
Both of those are two types of success because you ACHIEVED something.
For the niche that I have chosen, it's ultimately to inform, educate, and help people world wide and I have a burning desire to get this information out to the world. Just like every other millionaire marketer stresses (although i'm not one.. soon will be though ;) ) help the people before you sell to the people. If you have a passion for what you're talking about, then it'll come naturally. If not, chose a different niche, because I know that EVERYONE has a niche, some people may just have a harder time finding it than others.
Success is inevitable if you have this type of mindset + a passion for what you're writing about.

Haha. Just read this after responding to your follow and I'm continuously learning. I think it's kind of an underlying sense of kindness and responsibility that we have in wanting to educate others. Lots of the most successful people are out to share with and help others. I mean, if we are fortunate enough to discover this on our own, why should we wait for the others to figure it out (or not) - we might as well help them make the discovery by educating them... How long is you idea going to be a secret for? Curious to know what it's going to be...

Well, I'm not 100% certain that everyooone is wanting to help others, haha, but there are many of people in this world that do (Like you and I). Forunately for us, we have both figured this out, and will most likely become one of those "most successful" people that you talked about ;)
I'm going to quiet about my niche until after my first campaign is complete. Although, I don't think that you would try to use it! Someone else might and I want to keep all these high searched keywords a secret for the time being!

Selling your time (as in job) is NOT for you! You selected a niche -stay with it is all you need..Joe has some good things to say about stress - just stay ' cool'

I agree with you 100% and i'm so grateful that I've learn this, surprisingly, early on in my online marketing career. (I'm already calling this my career because I have no other intentions of doing anything else; I have the type of mindset that I listed above and I believe, with that, success is inevitable.)
Good luck and keep the positive attitude Devin. Something I've learned is that mostly everyone is tuned into one station, called WIFM, which is " What's In it For ME"...
Being brand new at WA I have personally just started on the training modules and keen to see what's ahead, as I'm quite sure they'll include training for you to maximize the way in which your service offering could also be well monetized.
One little thing, if I may... in life your words create your future.... in other words, speak over yourself and those you care for the words of what you want and avoid what you would really not want, eg your bracketed note about stress....... you NEVER need to stress... make that choice and choose to protect the calm, unstressed space you're in right now. Having stress is NOT a status symbol!

Yes Joe, I know what you mean and that's the mistake that i'm not going to make. When I was first introduced into Internet marketing, that was sort of the mindset that I had, but I do and what a lot of other people should do to increase their pace of success
( because let's face it, if you stick in this game long enough and learn every aspect of it, you will succeed, plain and simple)
But analyze what OTHER people did wrong to avoid their same mistakes. This is drastically helping me through my online marketing adventure!
Good attitude my friend... will be watching you and rooting for you, I will fight a crocodile for you and you WILL buy me lunch in Hawaii before long! Let's make that a little something to pencil into your calender.
Having a good attitude is key, especially in this type of business.. and you've got it Joe! But i'll be expecting to see that crocodile fight ranked #1 on youtube before any lunch happens!
