A Text From Mom - How I Got Started At Wealthy Affiliate
So I just wanted to create a quick post to share some of my thoughts. I just joined Wealthy Affliate a few days ago and am loving it. I am a computer scientist that has always wanted to do affiliate marketing but was always lacking a sense of direction.
Here’s a little story about how I ended up here. Throughout the past few years, I’ve always mentioned to my family the idea of making passive income by creating my own websites and using affiliate marketing. Since I went to school for computer science and I had a focus on web development, this is something I really wanted to do.
I landed a few different jobs and I really haven’t been too happy with what I was doing. I felt like I was straying from my true path. About a week ago, my mom sent me a text about an article she saw on Facebook. It was @nathaniell from onemorecupof-coffee.com. He wrote an article about how to make money with affiliate marketing and had a link to wealthy affiliate. My mom said that she might be dead wrong but this might be something I was interested in because she heard me talk about it.
I clicked the article and read it through and said hey why not, let me sign up for Wealthy Affiliate. It only took about a day for me to decide to become a premium member. I started my website and was going in the right direction with the training. I was already a lot further along than I’ve ever been before.
All it took was a text from my mom. She’s my hero and I knew that it was a sign that this was something I should be doing and could be the push I needed.
Here I am just about a week later and I am a part of this awesome community, asking questions and answering questions and joining in on discussions. I’m going through the training and gaining so much clarity that I was never able to obtain before. I am so happy.
My site just got indexed by Google and I am one step closer to gaining traffic on my site and making a passive income. Things are really starting to look up.
