Still Climbing "UP" The Many Steps Towards Success
I've accomplished so much here a Wealthy Affiliate, but I have so much further to go. Kyle and his training along with the WA community have given me support and encouragement, that's leading me in an upward direction towards success. Thank you for that!
I've hit some bumpy roads along my journey thus far..... little traffic and no revenue.
My membership with Amazon Associates ended right when I was finding all of their neat tools, banners, and such... I should've studied a little harder to find out everything they offer to help you succeed.
I had Amazon links on all 30 of my post that I had to go thru and change to eBay links. I'm not sure about eBay's affiliate program yet, but I've already had 3 sales since I switched everything over. There isn't much in the way of commissions earned, but it's still a learning process for me and a lot more training yet to complete.
I did, however do some studying this time. I learned how to put eBays affiliate links, banners, and ads on my site and how to use Smart Share (which is pretty awesome by the way). From my research I learned with eBay you can even share the good deals you come across as you shop with your social media. When you are just searching through their site and happen up on a great product for a great price, all you have to do is click on the Smart Share icon to get the link for that item and share it. If they click on your link thru any of your social media's, you earn revenue. How great is that?
I think my traffic has increased because of eBay. Maybe being forced to switch to something new was a good thing for me. Still trying hard to learn and grow my site, but I'm only half-way up the steps towards that success.
I joined WA the end of January this year and went premium sometime in February.
I've only been doing this for about 6 months and have no regrets. From what my community here at WA has been telling me, it takes at least a year sometimes to build traffic and trust and start earning money.
Continuing my journey "UP" to the top!
I plan to succeed and with the help I have here at WA; I will succeed! Thanks to all who have helped me along the way! If I could only find the time to write 3 post a week, I would probably succeed a lot faster. I'm slow with my research and at coming up with the right wording for content on my post. Working 3rd shift full-time and having 4 grand kids, unfortunately, takes a lot of my time.
Cheers to all for Success!!
I do have something to celebrate for my first 6 months of training;
First 3 sales in July and my traffic is picking up!
Wishing you all the very best of luck!

You are doing great. Thanks for sharing and I appreciate the information about eBay -- could be an option. Best of luck to you for continued success!

Thank you!
Yes, if you are just starting out, you may want to consider eBay first. Amazon drops you after 180 days of no revenue and they have a lot of hidden rules. I think it would be better to try Amazon after you get more established and more traffic.
Yeah, I had some Amazon affiliate links on my dog website but I had no traffic so it wasn't worth it. Decided to wait until I start seeing more activity, but I am going to check out eBay -- thanks again!
