Criticism of WA: It's "Pretty Sad"
So as my website continues to grow, I've noticed that I'm starting to get more comments from people who found my website through organic searching.
Most have been questions and one was from a blogger seeking advice. That was pretty cool to see!
But today, I got some criticism from a user named "Kevin". Here is what he said:
Being a part of this community, I knew what he was referring to. There a many sites that are dedicated to promoting WA with more being made every day.
But what he claimed was just the tip of the iceberg; WA offers so much more than what he had implied. It's not a pyramid scheme or an MLM.
This community is the real deal and has members that achieve authentic success.
So I replied:
I could've just blocked the comment, but I wanted his opinion to be known and for my response to be observed. I'm sure there are people out there that have the same thoughts about WA.
I know I did at one point.
What do you guys think? Did I handle his comment appropriately? How do you guys deal with criticism? I'd like to hear your thoughts.
Have a wonderful day~

You did great. I have made similar comments on sites, defending wa, and I don't review other sites on my blog and offer wa as an alternative. I do admit though that when searching for reviews on a product, and you constantly see reviews that seem to point you away from the product and to wa, you do as a member of the public wonder if the review is accurate. I tend to keep looking trying to find alternate points of view. The problem is wa scores so high with Google that all our members reviews tend to show up first, second and third.....
Before I joined WA, I saw a lot of those scam warning blogs that negative comment is talking about that seem to be pretty cookie cutter and then promoted WA. I kinda rolled my eyes. Then I saw one that had useful information about building a site whether or not I decided to use WA. That blogger still recommended WA as an option and that stuck with me. Then on a Facebook discussion where someone was asking about WA, someone detailed some cons to using WA and why they didn't like it. It's not all sunshine and roses. Oddly enough, in that list of things he didn't like about WA were the reasons I decided to give it a try.
I'm not unhappy with the decision to try WA but someone who didn't know about some of the downsides and tried it might very well be unhappy. Unhappy people tend to spill their unhappiness all over everyone in comments like that. I like how calm your response sounded.
You absolutely handled it correctly. You let him have his say and you explained in a very calm manner that you understood why he might think that and then gave him reasons why it just wasn't the case at all. You handled it as well or better than anyone else would have. Thanks for the great representation and motivational encouragement.

Good job Denver!
I understand that not all people will like us. We will receive tons of criticism.
All we can do is to educate them, to tell them..
-that we are promoting it for good.
-that we are truly happy with it
-that we are not fraud.
Best regards.
Excellent response. Perfect. I don't know if I could have thought of that but you did the right thing.
You should definitely be recognized and rewarded.
Keep up the good work!
