60 Day Report - Am I Getting Results Yet?

So, I've been a premium member here for a little over two months. I've learned many, many things about websites. Nothing code related yet (at least for writing it on my own), but I think I'll be hitting that point soon.

I've gone through theme changes, writing changes, design changes, and even went through the fairly complicated process of moving my site to a different domain!

So with all of that, have I seen any results yet? Am I swimming in money yet?

Hah. If only. I haven't earned a single penny to my name!

No Money?

Am I disappointed in that? Not really, no. I didn't really expect to be making money yet anyways. And while I've seen others achieve monetary success, I am not all that concerned about my success. Because while I haven't made any money yet, I have:

  • Built my very own website
  • Learned how to rank my site (page 4 on google, page 1 position #1 on yahoo and bing)
    • Keep in mind that this is with my new site too!
  • Received traffic (1 search was from China. Crazy!)
  • Learned how to set up many plugins on my site
  • Developed strategies to improve my content

And so much more. A lot of this came from WA, but a lot of it was also developed from observing successful sites. I am learning more and more each day, and I couldn't be happier.

Be Warned!

My lack of monetary success is in part due to my relatively slow content creation. I spent a lot of my time making everything "look good", so I ended up struggling to actually put out content on a regular basis. Everyone says "do the training", but I would like to instead say "do the training consistently, efficiently, and quickly".

I am not saying you should rush out your articles, but I will say that there should be AT LEAST 2-3 articles per week if you are following the 1,000 word template. You will see results much faster.

I was averaging an article a week (though they were nice looking articles lol), which won't get anyone anywhere quickly. I am now aiming to put out 3 articles a week, so I'll be typing a lot more. It's gonna be work, but I am sure it'll be worth it in the end. I am a patient man!

If anything, learn from my experiences. Putting out content is more important than making it look good, at least in a website's infancy.

Once you start getting traffic and followers, then you can focus on making your stuff look good as you create content.

Google can't index what isn't there!

To Sum Things Up

I haven't made money. But I am going to.

I haven't become wealthy. But I am going to.

I haven't given up. And I never will.

Because the future is bright! Success comes to those who open their own paths to it. I will continue to learn, grow, and succeed! I hope that you all continue to find success with your journeys as well.

I am still going strong, even after 60 days!

What an awesome article very inspirational to us newbies at WA. I absolutely love this article thank you so much for writing it!

Of course! I'm glad that you enjoyed it! We will find success as a community of entrepreneurs, even if it takes a bit of time!

Absolutely!

Agree with your assessment on content first and then aesthetics later. Google indeed can't index nor rank our sites if there is no content up there. Hitting the 1000 word or more is a good investment. BUT congrats on your achievements in 2 months! It's a milestone for sure and I trust the momentum will come in.

Thanks! That's a lesson I learned the hard way, so I hope that least someone else learned from me lol! Thank you for your kind words! I'm looking towards the future of success!

No problem, I also learnt it that way. Lol. Truth is, when I started out, there is a lot to fiddle with and it's easy to get distracted if we are not sure what's the core. Thanks for sharing your heartfelt experience.

I love it. Perfect attitude, and yes all will come your way in due time. Inspiring post. So many make a site, put up a post and expect the money to roll in. Not how it works.

Content creation, and blog posts are my weak spot as well. My first site has been up since February of this year and is doing about $1500 in sales per month. I am putting $500 of those earnings into my 2nd site via paying ghost writers from upwork and fiverr for my posts. It is liberating. Keep at it, you will get there. We will do this journey together. See you at the top.

For sure! It's nice to hear about the success of others that came after months of hard work. Makes the journey seem doable. I appreciate the input and will definitely see you at the top!
