If you do Facebook marketing you want a lot of engagement, likes, comments, shares. You want your posts been seen as much as possible. For some posts Facebook rewards you and shows it more...
But on the other hand Facebook will also punish you for posts that they don't like. Facebook hates links in your posts. They don't want people go outside Facebook to a website. When you add a link in your post Facebook won't show your post to much.
What do you need to do then to get more engagement? Share pictures and video's. Also, when someone likes your post or comment on it, tag that person in a comment saying thank you. It will boost your engagement...:)

Facebook is too controlling and hates links as you state, even if you have a page it restricts where it shows your post even if it is a blog post with your name
There are way more methods for gaining exposure than Facebook which build your reputation and niche far quicker
