What's this ambassador stuff.?
Hello Everyone!
I hope everybody is doing well and earning millions of dollars from their websites!
I have recently arrived at that part pf the Wealthy Affiliate training that is entitled "Using The Wealthy Affiliate Social Community" and I am quite confused. In fact, I don't think I have ever been this confused...in Wealthy Afilliate Training that is... And so I would once again, like to draw on the extensive experience of the members of this portal for some much-needed advice...please...
This particular section of the training talks about sharing content with WA links in it to promote this amazing operation and in return, get credited for doing so. This brings up many questions...for example is there a right way or a wrong way of attaching WA promotion into one's content? For example, if someone has a very serious niche, say helping people deal with the loss of a loved one because of cancer, is there a chance that the reader might be offended or put off by the author trying to "sell" what may appear to be a "get-rich-quick scheme" in his or her content? Should the author be careful as to how or where WA links are presented?
More importantly, the part about becoming an ambassador is encouraging me to think about becoming an active helper here at WA. I think this is purely based on the fact that I have gone as far as I did in my training versus actual tangible results. April 2019 will mark one year of me building my website. So far I have made two sales through Amazon and those sales were due to me asking my friends to buy something off my website so that Amazon keeps me as an affiliate. Adsense is telling me that in the time I operated my website I earned $11. Its also been a looooooong time since I had an article index in Google and I try to post two articles per week. Sometimes I read peoples questions or problems they have with their websites and so far have never been able to answer anyone's question. Looking back through my contributions to WA and they are all questions and no real solid advice. I would love to know how or when did you decide to become an Ambassador and how does one know if they can actually be of help?
Once again, I thank you all...
Dennis

Hi Dennis, to answer your questions:
#1 - Yes, if you are sharing someone's WA post outside of WA, you would want to use common sense. There are many motivational posts that could be shared with no problem. Or posts that talk about website tips. I would not be sharing people's trials....
#2. I did not set out to be an ambassador. It just happened. I try to spend time on WA every day. I use the site content feature to write my posts for my website. I like the ease of which I can upload pictures. I also like the goal setting features. Those help. If I am not on WA, that means that I am not working on my websites. If I am not working on my websites, I won't make money. It takes a lot of time. And a willingness to learn.
- Every morning, I also try to read a few WA posts. Those allow me to keep learning. Some inspire me to work harder. I try to leave people comments on their post because they put in effort to type them. I do not want them to feel unappreciated.
I also watch for new members that are writing some a post for the first time. I really want to do my best to encourage them. I think it is exciting to see new people start. They are often unsure of themselves. Yet they are excited about building a business. I much rather see someone here trying to build a business rather than walking to a liquor store trying to drown their sorrows.
I also watch for people that ask questions that I know the answer to - that has not been answered. Again, I don't want people to feel ignored or that no one is willing to help.
I personally try to avoid chat - because it sucks up too much time.
If you do little things like this each day, your rank will fall quickly. You will feel more confident about what you are publishing on your website. Plus, it feels good to get to know people that are going through the same challenge you are. It is also fun celebrating the good things that happen also. The community is great. Just make sure that the time you devote to your website remains more important than socializing - if you want to make money.
I hope this helps.
Sondra thank you very much...your insight is greatly appreciated
Sorry it was so long. lol I hope you have a great day. By the way, try to consider your ranking like a speedometer.
If your rank is getting better, that means that you are here on WA, learning and working on your website. It is almost impossible to spend time here and not want to help out others from time to time.
Best wishes for a VERY productive February.
Please don’t apologize for long replies! I’m very grateful.
I understand rankings but I always assumed my ranking should come second to my business...I’m terms of priority. Would you agree?
Yes, I agree. 100%.
Have a great day!
