Getting Rejected from an Affiliate Program
Some time ago, Kyle had made a post at Wealthy Affiliate saying that you may be leaving money on the table especially if you're promoting Wealthy Affiliate. What he means by that is there could be other affiliate programs related to your niche that you can sign up to that could also be making you money. Well, the website that I'm focusing on now does target Wealthy Affiliate and other legitimate MMO places, but my site also focuses on people avoiding scams designed to steal money from you such as phishing scams and identity theft scams.
I have to say it's more difficult to find products in the scam niche that are designed to protect people who are not just part of a business. Thanks to AI such as ChatGPT and Bard, I was able to find a couple of affiliate programs that do have some products that offer some protections against phishing scams. In order for me to join them though I had to join an affiliate network first and then sign up manually to the affiliate programs in the affiliate network. Sadly, one of the affiliate programs I had hopes for, rejected my application and didn't give me an explanation as to why. That certainly did leave me disappointed, but I still have another application pending to a very similar company and hoping that they accept me.
Has anyone else been rejected from an Affiliate Program before? I know people have been rejected from Amazon Associates, but curious to see if there are other ones that people have been rejected from and if you were able to find another alternative for your niche.

Yes, I was rejected in the past. However, I re-applied and was approved after fulfilling the eligibility requirements.
It's hard to re-apply if you don't know why you're rejected though.
Brian, it'd be best if you don't worry about it.

That's how affiliate marketing works. Many program owners will accept your applications while a few others will refuse, specifically if your website doesn't have enough traffic or they think it doesn't fit their niches. You can also contact them as Phil advises.
I've never really applied for any, Brian, since I am here to promote the books that I write, but shake it off, my friend! There will be many other opportunities!

I have been rejected by a few affiliate programs because my site was too new and had too little content.

When you are rejected by an affiliate program, there are a couple of things you can do.
First, you can reply to the rejection email and make your case about why you would be a great affiliate. Tell them about your audience and how you intend to promote their products. Affiliates rarely do this, so it stands out when they get this type of email. The only thing you'll spend is 10 minutes, so give it a try!
Second, find another merchant! There must be others in your vertical who you also like. Start working with one of them. From there, either you'll like the new one more, or the original one will see that you are doing a great job for the second one and change their minds about accepting you into their program.
