When I created my site I done it a little differently and only used 3 pages and the rest categories so I could group all of my posts specific to that category together.
Now
I can't help you specifically with your question but by putting the word "category" into the search bar above gives me lot of written blogs and training tutorial done by other WA members, perhaps there is your answer somewhere.
I recall that other members had asked similar questions in the past about this issue and I am sure you will find the answer there. :)
Yeah I have searched through them and a lot say about changing the css and give a code but don't say where to put it and when I have tried to put it in places it hasn't fixed the problem.

How do I remove category from my the top of my page?

The "category" label is part of the CSS, so that would be the place to edit it. However, I think this is a very minor detail and not worth pursuing! You may change themes later, or can hire someone for $10 to do this in a few minutes at a later point in your business. Introduction To Outsourcing I think it looks fine!
It is a minor detail, just think it would look better if I could remove it. I am concentrating on filling content really at the minute just think if I could remove this my pages would be better presented.

I have joined a Dog affiliate program through AWIN and they have asked for a refundable security deposit. I have never looked in to the full details yet as I have just got in f
The $5 that Awin requests isn't to have a security deposit. It's actually a way to confirm your identity as an anti-fraud measure (the bank had to confirm your identity to give you a credit card). The money is instantly put back into your account, so that puts you $5 closer to your first commission payout. If you decide you want to leave the network before you've earned your first commission payout, you can request a refund and one is issued, no questions asked. Yup, I work for Awin, so I am happy to answer any questions you may have about them.
I would not give them any money. There are many other choices out there. Unless they have really amazing products and you can't get them anywhere else, I wouldn't consider joining them if they're asking you to pay them.
A security deposit? For what? You are helping THEM make money!
Thanks Nathaniel. That was my thinking but I didn't know if it was standard with AWIN or affiliate network as a whole to pay to be given access to companies in one place.
I will leave this one and look for others.
Thanks
Hey, just wanted to clarify that it isn't a security deposit, but rather part of our identity verification process. I just wrote a post about it to explain the what's and the why's behind this process. Why does Awin want $5 to join their affiliate network?
I would be suspicious of any affiliate program that asks for money, no matter how small the amount, or whether it's refundable or not. You selling on their behalf and you are doing it on your promotional dime, i.e., you make the effort to drive traffic for them. I can't think of any reason why they would need to charge.
Best Regards,
Jim
That was my thinking as everyone says affiliate marketing is free. I think I will sit that one out if they are asking for money straight away.
Thanks
