Squirrly SEO Plugin problem
I have been tempted to use the SEO plugin from Squirrly. http://wordpress.org/plugins/squirrly-seo/
However, to use the plugin you need to login to an account via an email address and password. This all works on a wordpress site not hosted by WA. On my WA hosted wordpress site the connection to Squirrly is not allowed.
Is this a WA hosting restriction and are there others that I should be aware of?

David, this will happen from time to time. You may find you have to try and upload plugins via FTP at times, if you can. Hosting at WA can be quite strict at times with website addons bought or free.
Also note that this is often to protect the rest of the people on the WA servers in case there is a dodgy plugin that can cause a bit of damage.
With the plugin you mention, Squirrly, did you notice the negative number of reviews and why they were given? This is only a trial. I like to take note of negative reviews as they can supply important information you may otherwise miss out on.
If it's the award winning Squirrly I'm thinking of, then I thought the bought version was supposed to be quite good. But it is not cheap.
Should you ever wish to get an add on of any kind, you can always ask in the forum or Websites and Hosting support if anyone knows if it's allowed to be added to your site. Sometimes new addons are permitted that weren't previously.
Thanks, wise words indeed. Since I posted this I have realised I need to stick with the course and not deviate. Way to tempted to go off piste and explore. Staying focused is the key. Jaaxy maybe to blame - just generates too many ideas in my head! I have used Squirrly before, their ContentLook plugin provides a great check list and a measure of site progress. Particularly useful if you are meeting clients to discuss progress..
many thanks for the reply
David
Thanks for the comments. Squirrly offers a little more than the built in all in one, unless I am wrong. It will optimise content for SEO as you write a post. I suspect Rapid Writer has similar capabilities but not tried it yet. As ever, need to focus on content generation rather than trying out various tools (or distractions!).
I have experienced similar problem too. I hope it can be resolved because they offer little help and suggestions compared to the All in One SEO.

I just learned about squirrly and anything that helps my SEO sounds like a good idea. I always double check in WA to see if others are using it. I see negative comments have been mentioned and trouble adding it to WA. Then I noticed these comments are several years old. I guess in will need to do more research.
