The Secret to Writing
You'e Got an Idea
You'e got an idea for a Blog. The references have been researched, the computer is in front of you, the blank screen looking at you. The cursor motionless awaiting those words of inspiration, to come pouring forth. It has been waiting a long time.
Your Procrastinating
Your procrastinating, you feel sure you haven't mastered the subject, you want it to be perfect. There is nothing wrong with striving for perfection, but if you wait for perfection to come before you act, you are going to be waiting a long time.
Start Writing
I've learned from personal experience, to start writing with whatever knowledge you have. It's not like nobody has writing about your topic before. Don't worry about style, to many of us worry about it, there are some who will not but a word down, unless it's exactly the right word, in the right place. They can sit for hours, without writing a sentence. Style can wait, the important thing is to get started, and keep moving. You can always polish and edit later.
Slowly New Ideas Start to Come
Slowly as the words start appearing, new ideas come to mind. It may seem disjointed at first, even contradictory but write them down. Soon a connection comes to mind. You test it and retest it.
Soon your Focused
Soon your concentration is focused and the words and ideas start to flow effortlessly. Your attention is on your creation. It's the lack of attention that causes the blockage. It's better to write, even if it turns out wrong, then to keep worrying about it, and putting it off.
As always, thanks for visiting. Dave

Yep, when you want to write, just start writing. Good advice. On my last two WA blogs, that is exactly what I did, and lo and behold a blog was formed.
To many of us get hung up on what others may think. If it starts the conversation it’s enough
When I was much, much younger I used to worry about what others would think. Not any more. I am what I am. We need to be true to what is inside us.
Hi Dave, it's getting that first sentence out that is most important. I've started writing posts for my site and only two have indexed. But, you know what? I'm not concerned with that yet. I want to get as much information out there as I can. I don't think any of the posts are worthy of a review from Ernest Hemingway, however, they are on my site and I'm proud of that.
I try to write in simple terms for the average person to comprehend and enjoy. Nothing too long, but, always over 1000 words.
Great post!
