Ever Felt This Way?
Have you ever become disheartened about something you'e dreamed about? Ever felt totally overwhelmed with the immensity of the task or project your trying to accomplish? Frozen into inaction by negative thought? Feeling like a technical dwarf in the land of giants? When these feelings overcome me I look for answers in books, Eckhart Tolle, had some thoughts on the matter I'd like to recap.
Unconscious Of The Now.
He said that if you find yourself thinking like this its because you have become Unconscious to the Now, and have reverted back to the world of Form, which is the past and future. Our Ego lives in the world of Form, regretting the Past for its failures and fearing a similar future. Struggle and stress are signs of the Ego. The Ego loves mental turmoil.
Recognize The Ego.
Without being conscious that our Ego is back on center stage, no amount of effort will manifest the results we are looking for. Our state of consciousness creates our world and if we don't recognize when our Ego is on the center stage no amount of action will make any difference, we will continue to create modified versions of our past failures, over and over again.
It's Not What But How
It's not about what we do but how we do it, and how we do things is based on our state of Consciousness. All true success comes out of an Awakened Consciousness, rather than through the conditioned Unconscious thinking of the Ego.
What We Need To Be Awake
An Awakened Consciousness needs these three attributes'
- Acceptance; Being at peace with the outcome no matter what. This is not a passive state but an active state of surrendered action.
- Enjoyment; To enjoy any activity in which we are fully present. Any activity that just isn't a means to an end but something that connects use to the power of creativity.
- Enthusiasm; When you combine enjoyment with a goal or vision that can inspire others and enrich or help their lives it creates enthusiasm.
It's About Solving Problems
Having a Niche that can enrich and deepen not only our lives but the lives of countless others by learning how we can effectively offer solutions to solve problems is key in manifesting our dreams.
The Thrill
Acceptance that the task is difficult, and enjoying the journey, both the frustrations and successes, gives learning its thrill. Being enthusiastic at creating something from nothing is key.
Be Aware
So when you fell stressed or you're struggling be aware that its only your ego, telling you the same old lies, that your not good enough or smart enough or deserving enough. It's our choice if we choose to listen.

Listening to one's ego is sometimes not the best thing
but giving into it is even worse - I think I shall fight with
mine until the proper one wins LOL

Thank you Dave , this is so true. Acceptance, enjoyment and enthusiasm have become part of my way of life, but I did not always see things this way, it took a catalyst to guide me here.

Totally agree with this, keep the negative thoughts at bay, make your plan and stick to it no matter the results, focus on what you are doing, the results will come in time
