All in a day of a Mum, Wife, Employee, Woman!
So let me tell you how my day usually pans out, I get up, I get my son up, I get washed and dressed, I get my son washed and dressed, I take my son to nursery which is usually in a mad panic as guess what I am late. I rush to work, cursing the traffic because now I am also going to be late for work.
I turn up to work and am on time just by the skin of my teeth, well ok maybe 9.01 is a tad late but I'm sure that clock is wrong. I then work my dull day job until 5pm, well I suppose there is the odd half hour that I manage to find myself chatting to someone in the kitchen and then guess what I have a report to get out and once again I am going to be late leaving work!
Home time and as per usual there is a crazy amount of traffic so I weave in and out of the side roads trying to find the quickest route but inevitably the route I choose is the worst possible decision I could have made.
Finally home and wouldn't it be nice to put my feet up and watch some trash TV but hold up, now I am mummy again, so it's time to spend a few precious hours with my son before getting him ready for bed. Surely now I can sit down right? Don't be silly it's dinner time!
Now I can't lie here I may get lucky and my husband may do the dinner but after that it's the dishes and then I must make the lunches for tomorrow, So that brings me to around now and finally it's my time! My time to sit and work on my website and connect with this wonderful WA community.
So what is the point of this post? Well today wasn't like my normal day, today I had to take my little boy to the hospital for the 3rd time in 5 months because of a breathing condition which keeps popping up to cause havoc. As I sat for hours at the hospital I longed for my normal mundane routine, to relish in the normal stresses that my role as a mum, wife, employee and of course woman brings!
To end, be happy with your life, dull or not, make time for those you love and if you are lucky enjoy an hour or so to yourself!
