When i secured my domain name i have created allgoodthingssa.com, being based in Australia i have decided to purchase allgoodthingss
You need to do a URL redirect for one or a cname.essentially choose one site which will be your website and then other merely points traffic to the website domain. So .au and .com are tye exact site
Hosting won't sort it. As they are essentially still 2 websites. A redirect means they may type mydomain.com.au but the link takes them to mydomain.com
Perfect, this is exactly what i want to do, i have just tried and i have an error message, not my side though, hope it will work.

Yea it shouldn't matter where you bought the domains, it's a matter of transferring your files over to new domain and redirecting old site to new site.
Are both of the websites hosted at Wealthy Affiliate?. You can transfer the .com over to the . http://com.au if this is the case. The video for it is here. How to Transfer a SiteRubix Website to Your Own Domain Skip into about 5 minutes into the video to see how it's done. In the video Kyle says this works for any Domains, not just siterubix sites.

i totally agree with you. i am still in the early stages of my website, not sure what to do.
i have purchased .au from new domain here in AUS, i was unable to purchase .au from name cheap, there was a problem with accepting my details.

After some thought i felt it would be better to use .au being in Aus. I also wanted to secure both domains, i would love for which ever is typed in .au or .com it will bring up my sight??
I'm not sure why you'd want to do it as .com will be just as effective in Australia as a .au ...and if you're directing people to .com then why not just keep working on growing .com

Search your registrar for specific guidance ..they all vary slightly...you want to implement a URL redirect

As it's for a local place in Aus, I think the .com.au would create more trust with the google searches.
This is also something that I have been wondering... I own escape-minimum-wage.com but someone owns escapeminimumwage.com and if his domain runs out, I want to buy it and link it to my site lol

Thanks for the reply, all sorted mate, I transferred .com to . Au. Allgoodthingssa.com.au will now be my main site and I'll keep the .com for the next 30 days or so.

I have created my pages for my main menu on my home page, i now want to be able, when i click on Golf courses from my home page this will open that page and allow me to then be

Cheers for the reply mate, I understand that bit, but what i am trying to achieve is when you click on my pages from my main menu EG. "Beaches" the page will open up and then i will have a list of say 25 beaches with a thumbnail image and location of that beach from around my state, on that page which readers can then click on one of the 25 beach from the list and it will open another page which will have more pictures and the review.
I need multiple pages inside the one menu page without the sub menu, on the home page when you hover the mouse on the main menu page??

Makes perfect sense and is easy to do. You already have the page created, so set it all up. Write all those beaches using the numbers feature, or dot feature, or whatever. Add all your thumbnails. Then highlight the text and/or image. Once highlighted, click the little chain/link in your toolbar. It'll open up and you will look down to find the page you want the link to lead to. Do not check the box that says "open in new tab". Save or update, and you're good to go. Repeat as necessary. The good part is internal links won't hurt the page's Google Ranking. Geoff. The friendly fisherman :)
I'm actually not sure about the open in new tab box. It might work either way. I always hit no. I hit yes if it's an external link. I imagine it just tells the users computer to either open a new tab, or just jump right over.
I think I see what you mean... if you don't want your top menu to have a lot of pages you will have to go in your dashboard and go to appearance and then menu...and create a main menu... where you're going to "check mark" where it says "primary" ... and what you see there will be your main menu
